Competitor Sites

Better Design, Better ResultsThis Presentation will take you through a journey, a futuristic journey with yourself sat in the seat of the client, visiting Exmac Automations new and revised website for the first time.

Entrance & Home PageUpon selecting the website link, you enter with a blank white screen with the Exmac Automations logo emerging from the distance with a Thankyou visiting message that invites the client to have a look around the website.

This would give the client the option to select the assist button that could include a voiceover or demo page that shows the client where to go and what to click on, resulting in the client quickly, confidently and efficiently sourcing the information they want to know, in less than 3 clicks..

Slide 1 ENTRANCE & HOMEPAGEThis would benefit Exmac Automation as on the current website under the Who we are & About us you state key words like bespoke, professional, dynamic, vibrant and creative. I do not feel that this website reflects the true image of the company and its true sophistication of its staff and technology. By creating a more fluid, tailored website foreshadows the ease of service Exmac Provide.

Reduce ContentThe design of the website will utilize the whole website browser space.

The websites main page will have minimal text, instead, be replaced with a slide show of fast moving photos of the production line and the option to have a virtual tour of the factory.

4 tabs will be available to select; Who We Are, What We Do, Are History & (the new edition) Meet Our Team.

Slide 2 REDUCE CONTENTThe current website does not fill up the whole browser window, which gives an unfinished, unprofessional look.Photos speak 1000 words, if the client likes what they see, they will investigate further. By adding meet our team gives a more personal approach, the clients can put a name and job role to the faces, meeting them virtually, increasing consumer trust and brand loyalty.

7

Layout & TypefaceThe tabs along the top of the webpage will be reformatted so the content flows more naturallyE.g. Homepage, Markets, Products & Services, Applications, About Us, Case Studies, News & Events, Contact Us

Removal of Sales Email & Telephone details from the top of website and place them under the Contact Us Page.

Slide 3- LAYOUT & TYPEFACEBy reformatting the webpage tabs, helps direct the client more easily, the Contact us page should not be at the opposite end to the about us as it weakens the connection of who you are as a brand. You want the tabs to tell a story The homepage is at the begining which is the first point of call for infomation,Moving onto what market the comapny operates in, what producsts and services it provides, what it does once the Products/Services have been createdThen what the company has done in the past and what it has planned for the future By placing the contact us at the end leads the client to the end of the journey and provides them with the next step, giving the client the choice to make initial contact.9

The heading Automated Material Handling Solutions will be incorporated closer to the logo and the logo will feature in the center of the website at a larger scale.

The typeface of the website looks old school and outdated, a modern innovative company needs a modern, scientific, futuristic look e.g.

Layout & Typeface

Slide 4- LAYOUT & TYPEFACEThe heading at the top of the website looks out of place and unnecessary, it cheapens the look of the website and detracts away from the company logo and color scheme. The search bar should also be made more visible as it is a major offering for assistance to a client that is struggling to find part of the website, by highlighting the search bar encourages the client to look around and increases consumer trust as the client knows that the company is not trying to hide anything. The typeface needs to be thinner, spaced out and corporate, a modern type face will improve the overall look of the website by taking it out of one century and into another. 11

Moving ForwardWebsite to be configured to smartphonesIncrease online digital presenceCreate solutions that will retain the website/ company

Slide 5- MOVING FORWARDBy modifying the new website to be compatible with smartphones & tablets will extend the reach Exmac has over its clients,By creating more digital platforms again extends the reach over its targeted clients, e.g; Instagram to show photos & short videos of the factory, providing regular updates on developments, YouTube, that could feature interviews with the team at Exmac creating more personal approaches and for clients to know the staff more personally, Twitter & Facebook pages that can be shared around and aimed that potential future clients, all this can be incorporated into the new website by providing social media tabs along the side of the webpage, The client then has the options to email on or share the website amongst there followings/ cliental which would attract increase traffic to the Exmac. Adding tabs that add the website to the clients favorites bar, book marks tabs will help the client to keep track of the company and will mean that the information is retained and not forgotten. 12
