DO TIRES HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE? Have you ever wondered if tires have an expiration date? If you have, and since it’s not really a regular conversation item; chances are that you have concluded that tires don’t have one. However, the truth is that they do. There comes a point when you should replace your car tires, even if they don’t look worn out. Simply, because they have been around too long and become unsafe. If you aren’t sure how old your tires are or when they were manufactured…take a glance at the side of the tire. You should see a series of digits and alphabets. Just look at the last four digits. The first two digits represent the week they were manufactured and the last two digits represent the year. For an example: 2114 would mean that your tire was manufactured in the 21 st week of 2014. As a rule of thumb, experts have recommended that you should think about replacing tires that were manufactured more than 6 years ago. This will help to keep you and your loved ones safe while traveling in your vehicle. DO TIRES HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?

Have you ever wondered if tires have an expiration date? If you

have, and since it’s not really a regular conversation item; chances are that you have concluded that tires don’t have one. However, the truth is

that they do.

There comes a point when you should replace your car tires, even if

they don’t look worn out. Simply, because they have been around too

long and become unsafe.

If you aren’t sure how old your tires are or when they were

manufactured…take a glance at the side of the tire. You should see a

series of digits and alphabets. Just look at the last four digits. The first

two digits represent the week they were manufactured and the last two digits represent the year.

For an example: 2114 would mean that your tire was manufactured

in the 21st week of 2014. As a rule of thumb, experts have recommended

that you should think about replacing tires that were manufactured more

than 6 years ago. This will help to keep you and your loved ones safe

while traveling in your vehicle.

Things To Purchase After The Holidays

So, you didn’t get what you wanted for the holidays. No worries, we have some very good news for you. There are many items that are best purchased

after the holidays and tend to be cheaper when you wait.

If owning the most up-to-date technology isn’t a top priority, then wait till

the Back-to-School season to purchase a laptop. Many retailers need to make room for their new inventory and will discount older models.

The biggest electronic trade shows of the year happen in January and

February. That will give way to older camera models being sold at discounts of 30% or more near President’s Day weekend.

Since it’s cold outside and the riding season dwindles down, bicycles are

ripe for discounts after the holiday rush and retailers typically will throw in

extra accessories to entice consumers’ business. If you’re interested in buying a used car…April will hold the best deals for

you. Dealers tend to buy the most cars at auction during this month. So,

not only will it give you a great price to shop, but the best selection as well.

Happy Shopping!

Helping Your Houseplants Survive the Winter

Plants growth rate is significantly slower during the winter months. Here

are a few suggestions to help them survive the cold, winter months:

They do not require as much water. Put your finger in the soil about

1 inch down. If it feels dry, give it a good soaking. Be sure to use

lukewarm water.

The angle of the sun changes during the winter months. You might

want to place your plants near a different window for the season and

rotate your plants regularly. This will help make sure they receive

light evenly on all sides.

Fertilization is not necessary during the winter. Withhold food until

next spring when the days are longer and the sun is stronger.

Use a damp cloth and wipe the leaves to get rid of any dust. This

will unclog the pores and allow them to absorb essential nutrients.

Frequently mist your plants. Houseplants prefer a level of 40-50%

humidity. During the winter, our heated homes tend to only be at

10-20%.

“The greatest good you can do for another is not just

share your riches, but reveal to them their own.”
