Winter may have been cold and harsh, but at Bob Jass Chevrolet the atmosphere is—as always—warm and friendly. Customer traffic has been increasing, and business is getting busier. “We have seen a definite increase in the number of people coming in to buy vehicles,” said General Manager Ryan Easter. “We have been particularly pleased to see more and more people coming here from Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles. We have always been blessed to have our regular customers who come here all the time. It's also nice to see new faces and build relationships.” Bob Jass Chevrolet is also fortunate to have what the staff has come to call their Batavia liaison—Bruce Hohmann. A lifetime resident of Batavia, Bruce has 22 years of car sales experience and is thrilled to see that quite a few of his “regulars” have now found him working at his new home. ”My customers are my friends, and it's always good to see them, catch up with them and find out what is going on in their lives,” said Bruce. Bob Jass Chevrolet is growing its staff too. We are pleased to announce the arrival of our newest employee: Steven Dobbs. Steve comes to us from England, where he had six years of experience in the used vehi- cle market. Steve also brings with him his extensive knowledge of computers, Internet sales and vehicle marketing. “I am so excited to be a part of the Bob Jass Chevrolet dealership,” said Steve. “My previous sales experience was with an inde- pendent specialist dealership. I really enjoyed being able to work with my cus- tomers and getting to know them personally. I'm looking forward to building those same kinds of relationships here, too.” Born in Gloucestershire, England, Steve began his automotive career when he was just 13 years old, washing cars for their local dealership. “I loved everything about it—washing, detailing, and getting the cars ready for pho- tography,” said Steve. “I have always had a love of cars.” Just five short years later, Steve transi- tioned to a position in sales and has been enjoying that aspect of the car business ever since. In the last three years, Steve has made five trips to the U.S. In October 2010, he made the big move permanently “over the pond.” Recently married, Steve, now 24, and his wife, Katherine, call Batavia their home. “It was difficult to leave my family and my job in England, but the people here—most especially at Bob Jass Chevrolet—have made that transition a lot easier. Everyone is so welcoming here.” We are so excited to welcome Steve to the Bob Jass Chevrolet family. Our service department also has some bragging rights: we are now officially an Authorized Chevy Volt Servicing Dealer. You will see the Volt on our lot early this summer.
