40/20/40-split folding rear seats, so it’s easier to change things up

flat front passenger seat, you can make short work of loading

extra-long items.

Panoramic sunroof. Things are definitely looking up with the

12.7-square-foot panoramic sunroof.* Open it up to let in the

Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS). This system can

automatically disable the fuel pump, unlock all the doors, and

turn on the hazard lights in the event of a collision that activates

the airbags.†† It’s how your Tiguan looks after you when you can’t.*

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Tiguan is

sensitive, especially when it comes to its tires. To stay efficient

and safe, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System alerts you to a loss

of tire pressure so you know when to put more air in.

Seven stability-enhancing systems. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) can help the Tiguan maintain control by applying corrective

forces at each wheel in unsafe driving situations. It’s nice to be in

control.

Safety cage with heat-formed B-pillars Our safety cage not

only helps protect you in front, side, and rear impacts, but the

Tiguan is also reinforced with incredibly strong B-pillars, helping

put the Tiguan at the top of its class for roof strength.

Adaptive airbags. Our airbags are designed to adapt to crash

severity, and special sensors in the doors deploy the side airbags

faster in the event of a side impact. We’re always thinking

ahead, from every angle.††

Brake disc drying. When it’s raining outside, this system wipes

water off the disc brakes to help them remain dry and always

have their full stopping power. And it’s activated simply by

turning the windshield wipers on.
