*Shape

The curved shapes within all of the illustrations represented nature. All of the elements mentioned in this book, they were all made by nature. This represents this whole book well because it is about the whole world. The round circles represent nature and the things found in nature, like the bushes. Most of the illustrations in this book are simple and they flow. Most are the same size, which gives the reader the impression that all parts of the world are important.

*Color

*There were many cool colors used within these illustrations. The book had blues and greens when showing the ocean and water. There were also hints of red whenever they showed the people in the garden. This could represent the hot atmosphere. Value was shown when they added dark blues in the picture to show night time and to show rain. They all represented different parts of the world. Most of the colors made you feel calm.

*Texture

There were many different types of textures in the illustrations. Rough waters, windy days, calm lines to show that it was a calming time. These were all 2-dimensional pictures. Most of the illustrations seemed smooth and soft, because of the pencil marks.

*Composition

*Within this book, there is both symmetrical and asymmetrical. There is mirroring within the illustrations and then there are 2 different illustrations mirroring each other. Some of the pictures took up both pages and some were different. There was always a background to represent what was happening in the picture. Some of the pictures contained white space, but most of the pictures didn’t. The pictures were spaced out and some were stretched out. This helped the reader view everything that the author was trying to get a crossed.
