EXHIBITION AT MRS. ATHA’S (CAFÉ)

My first task ;

Installation of’ ‘‘Homolonius, by Alisia Casper’’

Page 15: Work experience presentation

THE INSTALLATION………

• Arrangements: 8:30am meet at MRS.Atha’s café.

• The assistant was almost 2 hours late ...............

• The owner of the café, becoming distressed !

• We had to work to a detailed plan of how the work was to be displayed.

• Short time Frame.

• Unsuccessful hanging tools!

• Plan Not followed as specified.

Page 18: Work experience presentation

WHAT I LEARNED …………….

• Certain location can have time restrictions and space issues.

• Artists can be unrealistic : too much work not physically viewed the space

• Wall textures and wall fixings.

• Unforeseen issues – Frames, hanging, space, time.

• Punctuality.

• Having Back up , options and have various hanging tools for the unexpected.

• Plan and visit the space prior to installation.

• More efficient planning !!!!!!

OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE

Tom and Ashley Paton

Page 32: Work experience presentation

A small selection of Ashley's fashion work

Page 33: Work experience presentation

Arrangements were made, I traveled down to Kent to assist Ashley for the following day.

But the next day due to bad weather conditions the shoot was postponed.

Page 34: Work experience presentation

What I have learnt:

Always be prepared for the unexpected:• Spare equipment• Tools• Materials for the job• And planning planning planning !!!!!!!!

Be professional and respect others in the team you are working with:• Be punctual.• Have everything you need• Plan before you arrive

Communication:• Having clear and simple communication helps everyone involves, with

location, time and all other aspects.

The Weather:• Shoot can be altered• In some cases the location can be totally written off.• Different team members fail to arrive e.g.. Model, stylist, Photographer.
