Sharing a Screen Using Skype

• Sharing a screen using skype is actually very simple and can be used for more multiple reasons. I sometimes share my screen on skype with a friend so we can watch a show together, they can walk me through how to fix something on my computer or even help me with homework.

First• If you do not have Skype, you can download it from

http://www.skype.com/en/ • Then set up your account and start adding your

friends

Here is a screenshot of my Skype homepage with all of my friends added.

Second• You will want to call a friend on skype and be in a

Skype call with them.

Entered into a Skype call with my friend.

ThirdYou will want to go to the upper left hand corner where I have a yellow marker going towards and click on call. Go down to share screen, click share screen and then click start.

Fourth There is now a red square around my monitor as you can see from the picture I have screenshot below. My friend Michael can now see everything on my screen from within that red box.

Lastly• You can stop sharing your screen by following the

same steps above, but the share screen button will now be Stop sharing screen button.

Sites used• http://www.skype.com/en/• I just showed this based off what I have learned from

using Skype over the years. Skype does offer their own tutorial on how to share screens on the website here http://www.skype.com/en/features/ which is just much more in depth.
