PLANNING ARTICLE

DECIDE UPON YOUR STYLE OF ARTICLE

The type of article I shall be doing is a biographic feature with questions and answers aswell, as I shall be focusing on the main article which has been presented on the cover, "Freya Stratford". It shall be focusing in on her adapting to the “pop” world such as the money income rising, the constant travelling with shows and many more changes to her life.

LOOK AT SOME EXISTING EXAMPLES IN THAT PARTICULAR STYLE?

GET IT IN CONTEXT! YOU’VE ALREADY DESIGNED A COVER AND A CONTENTS PAGE; HOW DOES YOUR ARTICLE

FOLLOW ON FROM THESE?

I would like to continue my house style and colours throughout into my article so that it has the same feel and vibe which I like to keep within all off my magazine. It shall try and follow the same set up as the cover and contents page as I would like it to have the same style all through my magazine.

WHAT WILL YOUR ANGLE BE? WHY HAVE YOU FEATURED THIS PARTICULAR ARTIST OR BAND? IS THERE A BIAS OR

POINT OF VIEW TO THE ARTICLE?

My article will be focusing on Freya Stratford because it is a question and answer feature so it will be focusing directly on her life because the questions will be directly about her and her adapting to the “pop” world. The article will be bias towards Freya Stratford as making her seem as amazing as possible so it promotes her to the audience and fans of the music world and industry.

THINK ABOUT YOUR HEADLINE. WHAT DOES IT NEED TO DO? WHAT WILL IT TELL THE READER?

My headline needs to attract my target audience of teenage females interested in pop, so it needs to be a bold and a catchy headline. I intend to have a play on words in one way or another. It shall tell the reader about the content of the article and maybe quote something that will be mentioned in the article. I was thinking maybe, “FREYA IS A STAR” or “STRATFORD STEALS THE SPOTLIGHT”.

FREYA IS A “STAR”

THINK ABOUT THE QUOTES YOU WILL USE?

I shall be using some pull quotes to attract my readers such as shown on the front cover. So for example “FREYA’S SONG MAKES ME SHIVER”. The effect on the reader shall make them intrigued and want them to read on.
