Location.

My photoshoot is going to take place in a studio, as I want to have a plain white background that does not distract from the cover artist. I feel it will make a bolder statement and it apllies to my colour scheme of , and . As the blue will be represented in the Header and the clear black and white image will contrast against it. In the studio I can adapt the lighting to my choice and makes a more controlled photo with the connection of the photographer and model.

My model is dressed casually with in monochromatic colours, the distinction is made by contrasting the blonde hair with a dark jacket. The style he is going for represents the genre of music he performs and that which fits my magazine. That focus is the ‘indie’ genre which portrays a relaxed style of music that is made by independent labels but has become more mainstream in recent years.

I wanted to get my model relaxed so positioned him sitting down and in a casual stance. In order to create these images I made conversation and took photos without him aware of when I was to take a photo. This portrays the genre ‘indie’ as it doesn’t need a big statement to be good.
