as part of ART CAPITAL at the Grand Palais

Twenty-nine international artists from the OpenArtCode group will exhibit their artwork from 25 to 30 November 2014 at the Grand Palais in Paris in the occasion of Art en Capital. The OpenArtCode group has been invited to participate since 2008 by the Society of Independent Artists, that was founded in 1884 by great artists such as Cezanne, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec and Pissarro. It is thanks to the good humor, legendary efficiency and organization of Mary Brilli and Studio Abba Florence, that our talents combine so successfully.

OpenArtCode represents a group of artists who have very different styles, techniques, artistic training and for many years now, they have exhibited together worldwide. The complicity they have acquired at these various international shows, allows them to participate at extremely prestigious exhibitions and events.

For their creative humanism, we look forward to welcoming the artists back among us, to have them participate in such a great festival of colour and we hope that this Salon is, on all levels, a great success for the group but also an individual success for each of the participating artists.

dans le cadre d’ART en CAPITAL au Grand Palais

Vingt-neuf artistes internationaux du groupe OpenArtCode exposeront leurs réalisations du 25 au 30 Novembre 2014 au Grand Palais à Paris, au sein du salon Art en Capital, invités depuis 2008 par la Société des Artistes Indépendants, Association fondée en 1884 par de grands artistes comme Cézanne, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Pissarro… Grâce à l’organisation, la bonne humeur, l’efficacité légendaire de Mary Brilli et du Studio Abba de Florence, nous réunissons nos talents avec succès.

OpenArtCode représente un groupe d'artistes lesquels ont des styles, des techniques, des formations artistiques très différents et depuis plusieurs années ils exposent ensemble, leurs qualités graphiques dans le monde entier. La grande complicité acquise lors de diverses rencontres internationales, permet aux artistes, l’organisation d’expositions et événements de prestige.

Pour leur humanisme créatif, nous nous réjouissons de les accueillir à nouveau parmi nous, d’avoir su les garder et dans l’esprit d’une grande fête de la couleur, nous souhaitons que ce Salon soit, sur tous les plans, une grande réussite collégiale mais aussi individuelle.

Bdoor Alsudiry est une artiste peintre de Riyad en Arabie Saoudite. En tant qu'artiste, elle désire aider au développement de son pays qui est célèbre pour ses dattes et ses palmiers dattiers. Dans son art, elle exprime ses sentiments sur ce fruit et ses bienfaits dans des représentations très réalistes et elle dit dans sa déclaration d’intention artistique "ma peinture sur ce thème met l’emphase et la lumière sur notre attachement aux dattes et à la fascinante beauté naturelle des palmeraies au milieu des montagnes Towaiq ".Dans OpenArtCode Paris 2014, elle présente un lien entre le portrait et la technologie numérique: le QR Code. Utilisant un logiciel de réalité augmentée, Twitter et Instagram, sa passion pour les dattes et café arabe émerge et elle crée ces "portraits" pour démontrer aux visiteurs comment l'art peut unir les gens.Bdoor a représenté le Royaume d'Arabie Saoudite dans de nombreuses expositions et y a rencontré un grand succès, remportant de nombreux prix internationaux. Elle est membre fondateur de la Société arabe des Beaux-Arts, "JSVET".

Bdoor Alsudiry is a Saudi Arabian painter from Riyadh. As an artist, she is keen to help the development of her country, which is famous for date fruits and palm trees. In her art, she expresses her sentiments about the fruit and its benefits in these realistic depictions and in her artistic statement she says, “my painting on this theme stresses and highlights our concern for the dates and the fascinating natural beauty of palm groves amidst the Towaiq mountains”.In OpenArtCode Paris 2014, she presents a connection between the real portrait and the digital technology: the QR Code. Using augmented reality software, Twitter & Instagram, the passion for dates and Arabian coffee comes across and she creates these “portraits” to demonstrate how art can unite people.Bdoor has represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in many exhibitions and has been widely appreciated, winning various international awards. She is a founding member of the Arabian Society of Fine Arts, "JSVET".

Trond Are Berge vit et travaille en Norvège, son pays natal. La relation de l'artiste, en tant que Norvégien, aux éléments naturels que sont le bois, le feu et l'eau, forme et construit les histoires et les compositions de ses œuvres. La lumière est toujours au centre de ses photographies. Ses compositions déplacent les lignes et les formes en des expressions qui obligent le spectateur à faire une pause, pour engager les sentiments d'émotions. Ces expressions unissent la structure et la couleur pour susciter l'introspection, pour apprécier ceux qui ont appris à vivre à ciel ouvert. Trond Are Berge réalise ce que l’esprit espère voir, représentant des paysages qui révèlent quelque chose sur la nature que nous avons peut-être oublié depuis longtemps - son enlacement sans fin et sa connexion à l'âme. Les teintes vierges pleines de béatitude et les couleurs contrastées de chaque œuvre évoquent des sentiments de première création. Artiste autodidacte, Berge crée à partir de son respect inébranlable de la terre et de la vie; un sentiment palpable de manière poignante dans ses oeuvres qui incarnent sa déclaration "Mon atelier c'est la nature". Ses photographies ont largement paru dans plusieurs livres et à la télévision norvégienne (NRK). Il a exposé en Norvège et à New York.

Trond Are Berge lives and works in his native Norway. The artist’s relationship, as a Norwegian, to natural elements, such as wood, fire and water, shapes and constructs the narratives and compositions of his works. Light is always central to his photographs. His compositions move line and form into expressions that compel the viewer to pause, to summon feelings of emotions, uniting structure and colour to elicit introspection, to appreciate those who have learned to live under open skies. Trond Are Berge achieves what the mind hopes to see, depicting landscapes that reveal something about nature that we may have long forgotten - its endless embrace and connection to the soul. The beatific pristine hues and contrasting colours in each work evoke feelings of early creation.A self-taught artist, Berge creates, out of his unyielding respect for the land and life, a sentiment which is in poignantly palpable in his works and which epitomizes his statement that “my studio is nature".His photographs have appeared widely in books and on Norwegian television (Nrk). He has exhibited in Norway and New York.

Le travail artistique de William Breamer est le résultat d’une expérience de vie et d’une personnalité extraordinaire qui a faim d’aventures riches, capables de structurer l’individu. L’art de William peut être défini comme un expressionnisme abstrait, particulièrement assaisonné de couleurs vaillantes, de riches coups de pinceau et de sujets provocateurs. Avec ses tableaux abstraits empreints des Caraïbes et inspirés par son héritage cubain et ses sculptures richement créatives, le travail de William attire une grande quantité de collectionneurs. Quand il était jeune, William a étudié à New York et a fait son apprentissage en Europe pendant les années 80. C’est en Italie, à Florence, qu’il a eu l’inspiration de poursuivre sa passion pour l’art; il a alors commencé le voyage de toute une vie, imprégné d’un amour pour l’expression personnelle. Dans sa déclaration d’intention artistique, William dit: “Ma passion intense et mon amour extrême pour la vie sont la base de ma créativité…. J’aime définir mon style artistique comme abstrait par nature mais combiné avec une qualité expressionniste... Mon interprétation d'un sujet se transforme dans des couleurs riches, vibrantes, vives... intemporelles, qui éveillent l'âme, à la fois inspirantes et radieuses. Mon usage de la couleur évoque plusieurs états d'âme; chaque élément que je crée est un instant de ma vie, qui donc réfléchit cette période de mon existence: mon art ce sont mes yeux qui regardent dans mon âme".

William Breamer’s artwork is the result of an amazing life experience and a personality that hungers for rich, character-defining adventures. William’s art can be defined as abstract expressionism; notably accentuated with valiant colors, rich strokes and provocative themes. From the Caribbean enhanced abstract paintings inspired by his Cuban heritage, to the ornately crafted sculptures, William’s artwork appeals to a wide cross-section of collectors. As a young man, William was educated in New York and upon graduation, apprenticed in Europe during the 1980’s. It was while living in Florence, Italy that he was inspired to pursue his passion for art; thus beginning a life-long journey steeped in a love for self-expression. William says in his artistic statement, “My intense passion and extreme love of life is the foundation of my creativity…. I like to define my artistic style as abstract in nature coupled with an expressionist quality…. My interpretation of a subject matter is transformed into rich, vibrant bold colors – timeless, awakening the soul, uplifting and radiant. My use of color evokes many moods; each piece I create is a moment in my life and therefore reflects that period of time – my art is my eyes looking into my soul”.

Tel pourrait être le "motto" de Mary Brilli, qu’avec sa personnalité éclectique et polyédrique elle exprime à travers une efflorescence d'expressions artistiques et une vision fondamentalement humaniste du monde. Ainsi, Mary Brilli s'efforce de capturer le monde avec un vrai regard panoptique qu'elle retourne dans sa diversité kaléidoscopique.Seuls ceux qui connaissent Mary Brilli peuvent vraiment comprendre sa forte personnalité. En connaissant son monde, son travail, ses amours, ses passions, on peut analyser son comportement qui est libre, critique, anticonformiste. En réalité, ses œuvres reflètent sa grande foi en l’imagination et en la satire et elle désire que le spectateur réfléchisse sur sa critique, sans idées préconçues, de ce monde irrationnel et complexe. Artiste éclectique, Mary Brilli mélange les genres: peinture, sculpture, dessin, travail sur soie et aussi collages peints, créations pour Hermès-Paris, installations, pour n'en citer que quelques-uns. This could be Mary Brilli’s motto, with her eclectic and polyhedral personality, she conveys through an efflorescence of artistic expression and with a fundamentally humanist vision of the world. Thus, Mary Brilli strives to capture a real panoptic gaze that she returns in its kaleidoscopic diversity. Only those who know Mary Brilli can really understand her strong artistic personality and by knowing her world, her work and her loves and passions, can we see her as a free, self-critical and unconventional artist. In reality, her works reflect her great faith in imagination and in satire and she wants the viewer to reflect on her criticism, without prejudice, of this irrational and complex world. Wide-ranging artist, Mary Brilli works in many genres: painting, sculpture, drawing, silk and painted collages, creations for Hermès-Paris and installations, to name just some. This love of art is also expressed in writing through poetry and journalism. This is her creative side, but her humanitarian work must not be forgotten either: indeed she received the award, Trophée de la Réussite au Féminin, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris in December 2011.

2Naomi Cordero est née et a grandi à Fairfield, Connecticut. Elle est sculptrice et peintre de portraits depuis plus de trente ans. Bien qu’essentiellement autodidacte, cet artiste novatrice a perfectionné ses compétences à l'Armory Art Center, sous la direction des maîtres sculpteurs de portraits Muriel Kaplan et Bert Deiner, ancien président de la Art Students League de New York, qui l’ont considérée comme "naturellement douée". Naomi a également affiné ses techniques de peinture à l'Academy of Fine Art & Studio à North Palm Beach.Le style de Naomi n'est pas un choix conscient. Elle exprime ce qu'elle sent, avec une technique intuitive sans aucune idée préconçue de ce qui apparaîtra. Ce qui ressort de ce processus d’expression libre sont des peintures comportant des visages allongés avec de grands yeux expressifs et un fort contraste entre valeurs claires et foncées. Naomi Cordero, was born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut. She has been a contemporary portrait sculptor and painter for over thirty years. Though mostly self-taught, this innovative artist honed her skills at the Armory Art Center under the guidance of master portrait sculptors, Muriel Kaplan and Bert Deiner, former President of the Art Students League in New York City, who called her “naturally gifted”. Naomi also refined her painting skills at the Academy of Fine Art & Studio in North Palm Beach. Naomi’s style is not a conscious choice. What comes out of this free-form process are paintings featuring elongated faces with large, expressive eyes and a strong contrast between light and dark values. After many layers of loose and expressive brushstrokes of oil colours that are swished and dabbed by paint brushes and palette knives, the characters of her portraits reveal themselves through their facial expressions and emotive eyes.Naomi’s work has been shown at various art galleries in Florida including The Frankel Gallery, The Lighthouse Gallery in Jupiter and The Phillips Fine Art Gallery in Sanibel Island. Currently, Naomi is a resident artist at Art on Park in Lake Park, Florida.

Ses commandes incluent des œuvres pour divers députés en Afrique. La peinture de Dari du sanctuaire de Signal Hill est exposée dans le Museum Bo Kaap à Cape Town et la série de sculptures en bronze de Dari “Woman evolve” sera exposée en permanence au siège de l'UNESCO à Paris. She has received many awards and recognitions and was chosen, above many other artists, to have a television documentary done on her work. She has been interviewed on radio and various prestigious magazines have showcased her work.

Née en 1947 à Paris, Catherine Daubresse est diplômée du Lycée de Sèvres dans le domaine des arts graphiques. Elle a enseigné comme professeur certifiée dans l’Education Nationale, mais sa première exposition d’aquarelles remonte à 1980 à la galerie de La Régence à Paris.Depuis quelques années, elle expose ses œuvres (huiles, pastels et aquarelles) dans des salons et expositions en France et au Maroc, avec des sujets qui vont des marchés ruraux à des portraits intimistes.De plus en plus appréciée pour ses huiles aux couleurs chaleureuses, elle s’engage dans des compositions au-delà du réel, intégrant l’acrylique et l’huile dans l'abstrait.Ses récents voyages autour du monde lui ont permis d’exprimer toute sa sensibilité sur des toiles représentant des scènes de la vie quotidienne, comme par exemple dans sa série de peintures sur son voyage au Tibet, Les Tibétains. Dans ses portraits du monde au quotidien, la combinaison de ses qualités picturales et de sa connaissance artistique des Cubistes et des Naïfs conduit à une représentation fascinante et très juste de l'humanité. En 2014, Catherine a participé au Chianti Star Festival où elle a remporté le troisième prix avec La Salute et San Gimignano qui disent son intérêt pour l'architecture et sa capacité à la rendre joliment vivante.

Born in 1947 in Paris, Catherine Daubresse graduated from the Lycée de Sèvres in the field of graphic arts. She initially taught as a certified teacher in the public education system but turned to first exhibit a collection of her watercolours in 1980 at the prestigious Regency Gallery in Paris. In more recent years, she has exhibited her works (oils, pastels and watercolors) at a number of fairs and exhibitions throughout France and Morocco and the subject matters range from rural markets to intimate portraits. Increasingly important for her oil paintings with their warm colours, she sometimes combines the use of both acrylics and oils to create compositions that move beyond reality into the abstract. Her recent world travels have given her the opportunity to express her sensitivity on canvas where she depicts scenes from everyday life, for example in the series from her trip to Tibet, Les Tibetans. Here, the combination of pictorial ability to portray the local people and her artistic knowledge looking back to the Cubist and Naïve schools of art, lead to a fascinating and skilled depiction of humanity. In 2014, Catherine participated in the Chianti Star Festival, where she won third prize, with La Salute and San Gimignano which record her interest in architecture and bring it alive with dexterity and aptitude.

Anne-Marie Djurfors vit et travaille à Stockholm en Suède. Le fondement de l'œuvre de Anne Marie Djurfors est la pensée constructiviste - un dialogue entre les formes changeantes qui se déplacent dans leur connexion et l’unité qui fournit le rythme dynamique du tableau. Elle tra-vaille avec des contrepoints, juxtaposant l'architecture avec l'organique, créant un éternel dialogue entre les formes. Anne-Marie Djurfors lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. The underpinning to Anne Marie Djurfors' work is constructivist thinking: a dialogue between forms changing and shifting in their connection and unity, that gives dynamic rhythm to the painting. She works with counterpoints, juxtaposing the architectural with the organic, providing the eternal dialogue between forms. Body becomes geometry or vice-versa in a constant changeable and moving environment. Djurfors works in oil, watercolors and collage. Some of her paintings are done on aluminum, letting slivers of silver shine through.Her prolific production has resulted in an extensive collection of works. Anne-Marie Djurfors' work has been exhibited, both as solo and co-exhibitions, at museums, institutions and at galleries alike across Sweden. She has also exhibited in New York, USA as well as Budapest, Hungary, Florence, Italy, Berlin, Germany and Toronto, Canada.

Gillian Gallandat Huet (1957) a grandi dans une famille créative d'origines très diverses: française, écossaise, australienne et russe.Compte tenu de son expérience, elle sait que son orientation internationale et son intérêt pour d'autres cultures ont toujours contribué à son évolution personnelle. Avec son histoire multiculturelle, la fascination de Gillian pour la nature lui vient de sa mère australienne élevée en milieu rural, qui lui a appris l'amour de l'humanité et le langage des animaux. Son style naturaliste et réaliste a une âme et c'est à travers son art que Gillian s'efforce de rétablir la connexion entre les êtres humains et la nature. "Mes œuvres symbolisent la nature et aident à rétablir le contact avec nos racines. La nature a une énergie "soignante" et comme nous vivons dans une ère numérique très exigeante, nos vies peuvent vraiment bénéficier de contacts accrus avec la nature. Gillian Gallandat Huet (1957) grew up in a creative family with very diverse roots: French, Scottish, Australian and Russian. Given her background, she feels her international orientation and interest in other cultures have always helped her personal development. Together with her multicultural history, Gillian’s fascination with nature comes from her rurally-raised Australian mother who taught her the love of humanity and the language of animals.Her naturalistic and realistic style carries a soul and it is through her art, that Gillian strives to re-establish the connection between human beings and nature. “My works of art symbolise nature and help to restore contact with our roots. Nature has a healing energy and as we live in a very demanding digital era, we can benefit from having more contact with nature in our lives. In this way, we can feel our own roots and reach out to the cosmos”.

John Gesager Nielsen est né à Silkeborg au Danemark et il vit en Norvège depuis 1956. Il est un moderniste, non seulement dans son expression artistique sculpturale, mais aussi dans le choix de ses matériaux, comme l'acier inoxydable et le plexiglass. Grâce à ces matériaux, et souvent en combinant les deux, il crée des sculptures dans un style artistique contemporain et souvent abstrait. Le sculpteur exprime l'esprit de son temps. Un examen plus approfondi révèle cependant des traces de figuratif et une influence évidente des traditions et des mythes.La plupart de ses inspirations sont tirées de paysages norvégiens; en particulier les montagnes et les puissants glaciers. Dans ses explorations d’un tel environnement théâtral, il a découvert l'abstraction même de la nature et les formes sculpturales créées par l'influence perpétuelle des éléments.Les sculptures de Jean Gesager Nielsen ont un succès international et elles ont reçu le premier prix dans plusieurs concours d'art.

John Gesager Nielsen was born in Silkeborg, Denmark and has lived in Norway since 1956. He is a modernist, not only in his artistic, sculptural expression but also in his choice of materials, such as stainless steel and plexiglass. Through these materials, and often combining the two, he creates sculptures in a contemporary and often abstract artistic style. The sculptor is expressing the spirit of his age. A closer scrutiny does however, reveal traces of the figurative and an obvious influence from traditions and myths.Most of his inspirations are drawn from Norwegian landscapes; in particular the mountains and the powerful glaciers. By wandering through such dramatic surroundings he has discovered the very abstraction of nature and the sculptural shapes created by the perpetual influence of the elements. I find that this convergence is more accurately reflected when I paint wet-into-wet, using a palette knife. This exciting American artist, David Harry, grew up in a household with the sweet smell of turpentine, where the shelves were stocked with art books and the walls were covered with paintings. His grandmother was the well-known painter Beulah S. Bowers. Even though David started seriously painting around the age of twenty-five and his art education was therefore subjective, various styles have marked his full artistic career from early neo-expressionism to a post-modernist project called Anti-Action painting, to his current body of work that consists of relatively large-scale abstract paintings. In his artistic statement, David states that “fine art is a form of expression that works as a visual metaphor for a shared experience. My latest work is about a process not unlike jazz composition, action initiated over a familiar structure. The paintings also respond to place. My move to Florida has resulted in a greater emphasis on the depiction of light, and heightened the importance of color in my painting. Their scale takes advantage of the peripheral nature of composition. Each painting is allowed to feel its own way”. David has had solo shows in Paris and New York City, as well as Hamburg, Potsdam and Freiberg in Germany and regularly exhibits at the Art Fusion Galleries in Miami.

Evelyne Huet was born in Paris, where she lives and works. For many years, she depicted the courage that women and young girls display in the face of violent situations around the world that many of them are confronted with, on traditional canvases. On canvas, as on digital supports, she endeavours to simplify her representations to the extreme and to paint emotion, whilst avoiding pathos. The art critic Caroline Canault writes about her: "Her portraits, digital icons made on iPad, could be the inheritance of both Pop Art and Primitive Art. They testify to a collective unconsciousness, a reserve of real or fictional dramas that speak to everyone and therefore belong to everybody."A member of the OpenArtCode group of international artists, her paintings are regularly displayed in solo and group shows in France and abroad (Italy, Spain, Israel, China and USA). She is also one of the in-house artists at the influential Galerie Teodora in Paris.

Marlene’s fascination with texture has led her to explore an endless range of surfaces from canvas and thread to wood and metal and to experiment with found materials such as twigs, nails and even roofing paper. Her artwork involves shapes, lines, pat-terns, movements, flowers and motifs that derive from influences such as textiles and nature. A subtle line or shape can determine the direction a piece will take. Even if she has a sketch, once she starts working, it often changes completely. His paintings are often poetic allegories delivering a message to the spectator. Art in general, and especially painting, is a vehicle that carries the creator into unknown worlds, unfolding areas of the cosmos, unseen by the ordinary eye and mind.He now lives in Athens and has dedicated himself mainly to painting and poetry. Kostas has participated in international art events such as London Biennale 2013, Art Monaco 2014, "The Spirit of Art returns to Vienna" 2014 and many others. He has also participated in an art exhibition at the Athens National Gallery and had a successful solo exhibition at Art Kolonaki Gallery Athens in June 2014.

Alexander Lee was born in the north-west of England but grew up on the west coast of Australia. Alexander studied painting and drawing at the Claremont School of Fine Art in Perth. In 2001, Alexander moved to Stockholm in Sweden, spending much of his time travelling around Europe and it was in 2008, that he decided to become a full-time artist and illustrator. Alexander’s works range from pencil drawings to acrylics on canvas, with his early works focusing mainly on the ocean and vineyards from living in Australia, to move onto very detailed and realistic drawing and paintings and also to experiment with the abstract. Alexander has also had a period of portrait painting as a result of a successful period of commissioned assignments.Since 2013, Alexander has been residing in Salzburg, Austria, but still spends long periods of time working in his studio in Stockholm. Alexander’s most recent achievement was to win two awards for his works on paper at the Chianciano Biennale 2013 in Tuscany, Italy. This year 2014, Alexander has also exhibited in London, Vienna, Antwerp, Tuscany and Lisbon and in 2015 will participate in the London Biennale and in 2016, in New York.

Charlotte Lisboa was born in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. Following her graduation from the University of Miami, she continued her academic studies at the Romero Hidalgo Artists' Studio where her drawing skills became more refined as a crucial component of her artistic education. Her influences range from Monet and Renoir to Rembrandt, Sorolla, Sargeant and Klimt, as well as Rothko's abstract works. Charlotte is compelled to paint figures with emotion and atmosphere. In her artistic statement she says of her work “If I am asked to explain my work, in a few words I would say: humanity with strokes of an ethereal atmosphere. My academic figure drawing was taken as a point of departure to seek a distinct feeling or mood that explores emotion with expressions, textures and movements from the subject at hand….My drawings, mixed medias and oil paintings strive to express life in a genuine way by taking the subjects out of context in which they exist, into another level of awareness. I perceive my work as realistic with touches of impressionism and abstraction. The viewer will perceive a continuous evolution of ideas which are refreshed in the creation of every new piece”.

Pour Giovanna Lysy, son pays natal de La Foce en Toscane, au cœur du Val d'Orcia, est d'une importance fondamentale: parce que la beauté naturelle n'y a pas été gâtée par l'homme et parce que le temps y semble suspendu.La vocation de Giovanna se concentre sur la création de sculptures uniques, chacune représentant une interprétation originale du jeu entre la lumière et la matière. For Giovanna Lysy, her homeland in Tuscany in the heart of the Val d’Orcia at La Foce is of fundamental importance: where natural beauty has not been spoilt by man and time appears suspended.Giovanna’s vocation concentrates on the creation of unique sculptures, each representing an original interpretation of the play between light and matter. The care she takes in the choice of materials - such as iron or travertine from the local quarries – by experimenting and connecting, and her faith in sheer manual labour, combine together with such innocence and disillusion that a poetic field is born, in which a new and vital work is formed. Indeed, nature is a common element that blends these assembled elements and light, essential and vital to each piece, becomes the variable element that offers a constantly changeable view point in a globalized world. Even though most of Giovanna’s sculptures are large in size, they integrate harmoniously with the space in which they are set, like silent spectators.She has participated in various solo and collective shows throughout Italy and Europe, most recently: “The Naturalists” curated by Peter Miller in the summer 2013, “Stanze MozArt” in December 2013, which was another exciting installation project curated by the international art critic, Bruno Corà, and this year in Madrid, Tuscany and here in Paris with the OpenArtCode group of artists.

Ses grandes huiles sur toile stupéfient le spectateur par leur beauté intrinsèque, l'utilisation des couleurs et des nuances de texture et d'énergie. Elle aime peindre “tout ce que l'œil pense qu'il voit. La traversée de la couleur, alternant entre ciel et terre, entre lumière et obscurité, l'expression des couleurs et des matières... tout ce qui semble être et devient au contraire quelque chose d'autre, où les couleurs et la terre échappent et s'accrochent aux frontières incertaines dans la nature du voyage humain sous-jacent”. Au cours des dix dernières années, l'expressionisme abstrait de Sara est parvenu à une phase plus mûre: l'espace de la toile fait référence au voyage intérieur entrepris par l'artiste en poursuivant une réalité intemporelle mais parfaitement concrète. Dans l'emploi de la lumière et de la couleur, elle laisse seulement entendre l’arrière-plan et le premier plan, et reste indéchiffrable avec ses contours incertains de nature et d'imagination.

The painter Sara Palleria was born in Rome, where she lives and works. She received her degree in Education Sciences and still works in this research field in parallel to her artistic career, with particular reference to the importance of colour linked to the psychology of emotions. She collaborates with various institutions in the visual arts sector and runs education courses on images and colour laboratories. Her large-scale oils on canvas stagger the viewer for their intrinsic beauty, use of colour and nuances of texture and energy. She loves to paint all that “the eye thinks it sees”. In her artistic statement Sara explains, “alternating between heaven and earth, between light and dark, the expression of colour and materials...all that seem to be and instead become something else, where colours and the earth slip away and cling to uncertain borders in the nature of the underlying human journey”. Over the last ten years, Sara’s abstract expressionism has reached a more mature phase: the space of the canvas refers to inner journeys that the artist has taken, drawing out a timeless reality that is vividly concrete. In her use of light and colour, she just hints at a background and foreground, yet it is undecipherable with its subtle boundaries of nature and imagination.

Santina Semadar Panetta a manifesté très tôt son désir ardent de travailler dans le domaine artistique. Née en Italie, Santina Semadar a terminé ses études classiques avec succès. Ce succès académique fut récompensé par plusieurs prix et bourses d’études et en 2002, Santina Semadar est partie étudier au Québec sous la direction de Sam Aberg à l’Académie Arts & Beaux-Arts. Pendant ses études et jusqu’à l’obtention de son diplôme, elle a pris part à plusieurs expositions organisées par l’Académie Arts & Beaux-Arts. Dans sa déclaration d’intention artistique, Santina Semadar souligne que “L’Art est un Langage! J’ai choisi de travailler dans le mouvement lyrique postimpressionniste parce que sa rhétorique et sa philosophie permettent une réalité dominante. Ce mouvement autorise un parallèle avec la musique dans le déploiement des harmonies, on n’entend pas la mélodie, mais on peut la voir à travers le parfum des séquences poétiques de ses chromatiques…”.En avril 2009, la National Bank a honoré Santina Semadar d’une exposition en solo regroupant les œuvres de son ‘Hommage à Vivaldi’, au siège de la banque à Montréal. Le critique d’art et historien international Sam Alberg a récemment écrit un livre Santina Post-Symbolism, livre qu’on peut trouver dans plusieurs bibliothèques prestigieuses de l’Amérique du Nord et du Canada. Les œuvres hautement estimées de Santina Semadar figurent dans des collections privées dans tout le Canada et en Australie.

Santina Semadar Panetta manifested from an early age her ardent desire to work in the arts. Born in Italy, Santina completed her classical studies with great accomplishment. This academic success accredited her with several prizes and scholarships and in 2002 Santina, studied under the tutelage of Sam Aberg at the Academie Arts & Beaux Arts, in Quebec, Canada. During her studies up to the completion of her diploma, she took part in many group exhibitions, which were organized by the Academie Arts & Beaux Arts. In her artistic statement, Santina emphasizes “Art is a Language! I have chosen to work in the post- impressionism lyric movement because its rhetoric and philosophy permits a preponderant reality. It allows a parallel with music in the deployment of the harmonies, we do not hear the melody, but we can see it by the perfume of the poetic sequences of its chromatics….”. Indeed, the National Bank honored Santina in April 2009 with a solo show of the group of works ‘Hommage to Vivaldi’, at the head office in Montreal. Mr. Sam Aberg, international art critic and historian, has recently written a book on her Santina Post-Symbolism, which can be found in many prestigious Libraries in North America and Canada. Her highly esteemed works are amongst private collections throughout Canada and Australia.

Dutch artist, Fransje Steins Bisschop is fascinated by her daily surroundings. She witnesses nature, people and the intimate beauty of detail. Truth is captured, not by portraying people, flowers and natural scenes, but by entering and reflecting their hidden, fragile world. Sometimes she slowly moves from figurative to more abstract expression. In her artistic statement, Fransje emphasizes “If I look with an unbiased mind, the flower or person will eventually show me his or her reality. I just have to put myself at their service....”Having an unusually sharp eye, she has found a fascinating way of revealing the pride and beauty within vulnerability, thereby showing us her reality of nature. To see flowers perish, to witness their transience moves her. In her view, it underlines the very essence of life within. It is with genuine curiosity that she explores the true nature of beings. omLidia Teixeira est une photographe autodidacte née à Madère au Portugal en 1965. Elle a commencé à dix-sept ans son expérimentation de l’art abstrait avec des huiles et des acryliques. Inspirée par le mouvement infini de la nature, elle s'est concentrée sur la transmission de l'impact émotionnel de la couleur, du contraste et de la texture. Son expérimentation continuelle de différents matériaux et de nouvelles techniques ont déplacé son intérêt pour la peinture abstraite vers la photographie. La méthode personnelle de Lidia Teixeira intègre le mouvement, la lumière naturelle et l'eau pour donner de nouvelles identités aux objets banals qui lui servent de sujets. En se déplaçant autour des éléments qu’elle choisit, l'artiste dissout leurs limites et les met en mouvement comme de nouveaux corps de couleur fluides. Ce qui aurait pu être une plume ou une tasse devient alors au terme d’un voyage une composition pleine de l’élasticité d’une énergie colorée. Comme elle conserve l'expérience du spectateur verrouillée à la surface de ses textures, ses photos sont imprégnées d’une matière à la fois visuelle et viscérale. D’une telle proximité, Lidia Teixeira partage avec succès avec nous des vibrations que nous sommes invités à explorer à la fois visuellement et émotionnellement. Lidia Teixeira is a self-taught photographer born in Madeira, Portugal in 1965. She started experimenting with oils and acrylics at the age of seventeen in the creation of abstract art. Inspired by the endless movement of nature, she focused on transmitting the emotional impact of colour, contrast and texture. Tireless experimentation with diverse materials and new techniques shifted her interest from abstract painting to photography. Teixeira’s personal method incorporates movement, natural light and water to create new identities from the banal objects that serve as part of her subject matter. As she moves around the chosen items, the artist dissolves their boundaries and sets them in motion as fresh and fluid bodies of colour. What could have been a feather or a mug then, now travels across a given composition as stretches of colourful energy. As she keeps the beholder’s experience locked to the surface of her textures, the photographs achieve a heightened visceral and visual effect from up close. From such close proximity, Teixeira successfully shares with us vibrations which we are drawn to explore both visually and emotionally. She recycles items from our everyday lives and moulds them into a more expressive yet abstract language, which appears here, laid bare on the integrated surface of each frame.

Tiril Benton est née à Londres en 1955 et elle vit maintenant en Alabama aux États-Unis. Elle a commencé à dessiner lorsqu’elle était très jeune et travaille à présent avec toutes les tailles de toiles, papiers et cartons en utilisant des huiles, des acryliques, des aquarelles et de la gouache, ainsi que des crayons, des pastels, des pinceaux et des encres. Dans sa déclaration d’intention artistique, elle résume son expérience de peintre: “Quand le dialogue commence, il y a une révélation de l’intérieur, une extraction, une vibration de la connaissance puisée dans la psyché, des conceptions sortent du subconscient. Les couleurs évoluent et ensuite, une seule inspiration émerge au niveau de la conscience. Les toiles deviennent réceptives, fluides, légères. Tout est un. Je peins avec une foi absolue. L’expérience de chaque tableau s’éclaire en cherchant la connaissance intérieure, en osant et en me poussant à m’exprimer avec une authenticité qui me laisse à l’envers… vulnérable et vivante. Né en 1979 à Milan en Italie, après une scolarité à la Arts High School, Alessandro Villa a intégré la NABA (Nuova Accademia Belle Arti) où il a étudié la photographie avec le professeur Mario Cresci. Au bout de deux ans de formation, il a interrompu ses études pour commencer à travailler dans une agence de publicité internationale en tant que graphiste. Pendant cette période, il a également été l'apprenti d’Angelo Tondini, photojournaliste, qui lui a enseigné l'esthétique et la composition. Depuis lors, il collabore avec le photographe Nico Tondini, spécialisé dans le voyage et la nature morte. Ses photos sont présentes dans de nombreux livres et magazines en Italie et à l'étranger. Ces dernières années, il s'est consacré à une nouvelle forme de photographie, dans laquelle la lumière ne se limite pas à montrer la réalité apparente, mais pénètre dans la forme, révélant l'énergie présente dans l'ombre. Il cherche la perfection et se concentre sur la beauté naturelle intérieure, originale. Il a commencé à exposer ses œuvres en 2013 et est membre de la Permanente di Milano.
