For these two pieces I decided to create a warm atmosphere by using old comics which have a orange/ yellow hue to them.

I mixed both old and modern by using to my phone as a ‘modern’ piece of the comic. I achieved this by taking a picture of the comic on my phone and then lined up my phone with the comic to complete the comic.

I used Photoshop to increase contrast and saturation for both photos. As well as this, I used gamma correction on the fi rst piece to create the dark shadow on the far left. This created a dark and light contrast.

As for this piece, I set up a comic on the floor and also as a background. Then used my phone to take a picture of the background comic.

After I lowered saturation around the phone making it seem as though the world is black and white until you look through my phone. In order to create a clear contrast and make the colours stand out, I increased saturation of the phone image.
