Annual Festival First Saturday in June June 6, 2015 9:00 AM 3:00 PM Nescatunga Arts Festival is held on Alva’s beautiful downtown square **Please pass this information on to any other artists and crafters you know who might be interesting in a booth at Nescatunga. ATTENTION FINE ARTISTS & CRAFTERS Exhibitors Fees: $25.00 entry fee entitles each exhibitor to a 12’ x 12’ space. Additional spaces are $15.00. You need to bring your own display materials. Spaces cannot be shared by more than one exhibitor without permission of Council. Exhibitors must supply own tables, chairs, shade devices, and necessary equipment to display work. Framework and tents may be set up Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, and Saturday after 7:00 AM. Security will NOT be provided. Registration: Early registration is encouraged; regular registration closes May 23. Registered fine art and craft exhibitors will have an assigned space. Festival Day: Upon arrival, check at the registration desk and you will be shown the assigned space. The registration desk is open from 7:00 AM to 10 AM. Late registration will be accepted if space is available at a charge of $30.00. The Nescatunga Arts and Humanities Council is not responsible for personal injury or damages/loss of items. Parking: On-site parking is available for registration and unloading only. Parking during the festival is provided two blocks east of exhibit area on Barnes Street. Assistance is available to set up at request. Food: Hospitality table for exhibitors 7:00 AM. A variety of foods will be available for purchase from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Lodging: Alva motels include: Alva Motel (580) 327-0327, America’s Best Value Inn (580) 327-1111, Comfort Inn (580) 327-0000, Crooked Oak B&B (580) 327-3621, Holiday Inn Express (580) 327-1400, Holiday Motel (580) 327-3333, Ranger Inn (580) 327-1981, Vintage Inn B&B (580) 327-4100 and Western Motel (RV hook-ups) (580) 327-1363. Make reservation as soon as possible. Rooms are in high demand due to area drilling activity. When you call, mention you are an artist coming to town for the Nescatunga Arts Festival. Some motels are making exceptions to their reservation process for you. Weather: In the event of inclement weather, the exhibition area will be moved to the Woods County fairgrounds on the south side of town. Only the first 100 registrants will be provided booth space. All exhibitors must vacate by 6:00 PM due to custodial agreement. ATTENTION FINE ARTS EXHIBITORS! All work must be that of the exhibitor. Artist’s work is eligible for only one award in each category. Cash and prizes in each category will be awarded as listed: Best of Show - $200; 1 st place - $150; 2 nd place - $100; 3 rd place - $75. Artists must limit entries to three (3) categories. The artists must be in attendance for his or her work to be judged. Artwork must be framed and/or matted suitable for hanging with identification of artist, media, title of work, selling price or NFS. Minimum size of photographic prints (5x7). Student Art: Student art work will be judged for 1 st place -$25, all other places will receive a ribbon. No registration fee is charged.
