The layout is very organised and original. The whole presentation is very moving, the main image is energetic and wild showing an artist crowd surfing. The contents page emphasises social scenes. The contents page is split into two segments a main image with a preview of inset pictures within the magazine followed by sub headings with the regular features of the magazine.

The contents page consists of numbers which are linked to different articles.

There is a subscription in the bottom left corner.

The masthead is presented in the top left corner of the page. The contents page carries the same format as the front cover; simple and original. Q magazine also uses a ‘house style'. The colours used are; black, white and red. All very modest, neutral colours. The text is the same throughout the magazine. The masthead is also shown in the contents page, to create consistency.

The layout is straight forward and simple. The main image is quite boring, however the way the band stands is strong and proud. The contents page emphasises A natural scene as they are standing in the rural areas. The contents page is split into three segments a main image on the left. A contents list to the right and an inset at the bottom advertising the article, followed by a sub headings with the regular features of the magazine per month.

. The main image is presented on the left with the band members facing directly to the camera and one last band

member looking away holding a grenade. The

image has been taken as a

medium long shot. The image forms an authoritarian

figure.

The article is on the right and consists of organic shades of brown, followed with

orange bold caps lock letters for the subheading. The orange background

emphasises Kerrang, as they like to be different, loud, striking and original. The text is in paragraphs and not columns which makes it different. ‘IF THERE’ is

larger than the rest of the text at the beginning of the article.

In the top right corner. There is an advertisement for ‘Foxboro hot tubs.

The layout of this double page is very different from the title page and contents page of the magazine. The

page has been split into two, the main image and article.

at a medium shot and is looking directly at the

camera. The image is in black and white and takes up the whole of the right page.

The article is on the right and consists of a white background and a large capital red ‘L’, this strongly related to

the magazine masthead ‘Q’. The subheading is the

artists name. ‘GAGA’ has been put into capital letters. The

layout is very clean and organised, representing

Q as likes to be original and wants to

relate to their audience. The text is in columns. The layout is so simple that there are not even any advertisements.
