[Intro]Yayo, yayoMula-laYayo

Yayo, actually spelled ‘llello’ because of its Spanish origin, is a street term for cocaine coined by the fictional gangster Tony Montana in the movie Scarface. Despite not openly advocating the use of cocaine, Rihanna has on occasion been speculated to have actually used the drug

Riri also makes it clear that this track is a money(mula) anthem.

[Verse 1]Bitch better have my money!Y'all should know me well enoughBitch better have my money! Please don't call me on my bluffPay me what you owe meBallin' bigger than LeBronBitch, give me your moneyWho y'all think y'all frontin' on?Like brap, brap, brap

The title to the song and the first line portrays the typical urban arrogance which they carry in their song lyrics in order to create there persona to the audience. The “bitch” being we as an audience who control her success and earnings.

LeBron James is widely regarded as the best basketball player in the world. Even though he’s armed with incredible talent and a lucrative contract, Rihanna’s stuntin' more than him.

t’s an onomatopoeia effect with “Brap, brap, brap” is used to resemble gunshots. Rih is shooting three warning bullets in the air, emphasizing that she’s in control and she’s not to be messed with. The next time that she sees her debtor, that bitch better have her money.

[Pre-Chorus]Louis XIII and it's all on me, nigga, you just bought a shotKamikaze if you think that you gon' knock me off the topShit, your wife in the backseat of my brand new foreign carDon't act like you forgot, I call the shots, shots, shotsLike brap, brap, brapPay me what you owe me, don't act like you forgot

Louis XIII de Rémy Martin’ is a Cognac produced by Rémy Martin. With a price ranging from $2,100-$3,100, Rihanna could buy about 40,000 bottles since her net worth is $120 million

Rihanna is being assertive (calling the shots), not intending on wasting any more time in getting her money off you. Shots also refer to the small alcoholic drinks. The repetition reinforces her demeaning persona and also her eagerness to turn up and have a good time.

During World War II, the Japanese military usedKamikaze pilots, who would commit suicide by flying their planes into enemy ships. Trying to knock Rihanna off her high pedestal is career suicide – don’t try it.

Chorus]Bitch better have my money!Bitch better have my money!Pay me what you owe meBitch better have my (bitch better have my)Bitch better have my (bitch better have my)Bitch better have my money!

These lyrics are repetitive and done in a chant form rihanna shouts the lyrics like its a command to the audience. The line may be partly inspired from Drakes “Worst Behavior” where he says:Bitch you better have my money when I come for that shit like ODBWho is also in the urban rap genre its shows a nicce and a corelation between conventions of genres

[Verse 2]Turn up to Rihanna while the whole club fuckin' wastedEvery time I drive by, I'm the only thing you're playin'In a drop top, doin' hundred, y'all in my rearview mirror racin'Where y'all at? Where y'all at? Where y'all at?Like brap, brap, brap

Rihanna’s music has helped everyone in the club get tipsy for years now; songs like “We Found Love and "Stay” have received remix treatment to get the clubs popping' on a Friday night.Even if she’s not there in the flesh, no one can escape Rihanna in the club. Its also arrogance towards herself in that its all about her in everything.

Rihanna is arguably the biggest name in modern day pop and has the hit singles to prove it, so it comes as no surprise that everywhere she goes, people are playing her music – even her haters. These lines are also an ode to her competition struggling to keep up with her 100 mile per hour career; they need to shut up and drive.
