Even though I am creating an artist for my production, I would need to ensure that the information displayed would be accurate. I would do this by using direct quotes from the artist, this will also work well because my magazine is in a interview style. And having the dates published would also make it accurate as it would be up to date for the audience to read.

When a magazine is published there are legal and ethical issues that I would need to consider. I would need to make sure that my magazine follows these constraints as they are a warning to what I am allowed to publish. Legal Issues Only allows the magazine to be published if it is accurate and the images are correctly laid out. Ethical IssuesIf my magazine gives a wrong representation of something it could damage the brand and the publishers reputation.

PRIVACY ISSUES Private life, family life, home and health, of the celebrities should not be published, even though the media violates this. When publishing a photo of a person, there permission is needed. It is unacceptable to photograph individuals, in public or private places, without expectation of privacy. With my magazine the interview would be set up, and will only be done if I had the artists permission. Also he must agree to having his photograph published.

HARASSMENT I will be focusing on one artist on my cover page and double page spread. He will attract the most attention. I must make sure that I will be shooting him from a suitable distance for my magazine and that he is aware of this. He would know the routine involving him for producing my magazine.

DISCRIMINATION - Prejudicial reference to an individuals race, color, religion , sex,

gender identity , mental health, disability or sexual orientation must be avoided in a magazine , unless it is relevant to the story.

- I will have to make sure that I don’t discriminate against anyone or offend my audience. As I would want my magazine to appear professional. My story being about pop music only relates to color or race through the stereotyping of genres, this will be an assumption from the audience, therefor my magazine will not be biased. My magazine wont include stories about mental health, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation. They will be relation to sex, representing the female through what she wears being weaker and objectified by the male, it will be the story in the content page so it would be allowed in my magazine, however it must not be exaggerated.
