HEALTH & SAFETY DISCLAIMER AND CONTRACT: The following document will be clarifying and explaining that throughout our shooting process, starting from the 3rd of November and onwards will have no risk of danger or exploitation of our models and team members. Our music video for ‘Stronger’ by Kanye West will have 3 different locations but they will be manipulated to create an illusion of more places being used in the video. We will have a set in the drama studio with professional lighting, sound, props, background and space to shoot the parts that will have our models portraying the sudden transformation from glamour to exhaustion to symbolise the aftermath of capitalism and living in a dystopian society. There will be a lot of themes in between that context like; the stereotypical perception of women by society, greed, social hierarchy positions, injustice, inequality and much more. The three locations that we are planning to use for the music video;

i) The set in the drama studio ii) Outside locations; urban, places with a contrast buildings vs.

deconstructed buildings, prestige and luxurious lifestyle vs. the poor. iii) Interesting, minimalist, meaningful patterned walls with controversial

props made to compliment postmodernism in our work. The set: The set is perfectly safe for out models and team member to work in as everything is fixed on the walls and poles like the lights. The space is very empty therefore there are no risks of people hitting, dropping or tripping over objects in the studio. The lights are securely places on metal poles, which show that they will not fall or break. The only objects that may hurt our models or members are the sharp edges of the white blocks that we are going to use as an iconography and symbolism. But we will overcome that by gently picking the boxes up by holding them through the handles that are made to hold. Outside: Shooting outside could be quite dangerous as we cannot plan or guarantee how things will work according to the crowded environment and unpredictable actions of individuals therefore we will have to be really considerate about the risks and dangers around us when we are shooting. A possible way to solve this problem would be to always check for cars, trucks and busses. The shoot may take longer than the scheduled time as we may have to stop recording to let people walk by, cars, and the crowd in general therefore we will have to be really patient. We will have to ensure that the procedure of our shooting should not effect anyone else that is outside of our media project therefore we should always make sure that our equipment is not bothering anyone that is walking by.

Walls/Patterns: We will as a group ensures that the environment that we are using for mise- en- scene is appropriate and not risky for us to shoot because we are going to be using dangerous areas to show the contrast between a luxurious lifestyle against the ‘hood’ or ‘less fortunate’ areas. We may have to ask for permission to use a specific area as it may belong to a particular company. For example, whilst we were shooting our audience interview outside of school, we found a symbol that said “private area” therefore we might have to ask for permission when using a private companies properties. Main highlights for health and safety:

Double-check the surrounding to ensure that no object is in position to injure anyone.

Check the equipment to ensure that they do not fall and break.

Think of the surrounding and don’t be the cause of any disruptions.
