Reactions Trinity Buoy Wharf

Context- Trinity Buoy WharfTrinity House was at its origin a voluntary association of shipmen and mariners, later receiving its coat of arms in 1573 with the ability to produce beacons, marks and signs of the sea to improve navigation on the coast of England. Trinity Buoy Wharf became home to the development, production and storage of buoys, sea marks, lighthouses and lightships. Today it is still home to Londons last existing lighthouse. Until 1988 the Wharf was a functioning supplier for buoys and lightships.

ContextIt is now home to a contemporary development Container City, with available eco-friendly studios, alongside an art school and recording studio Lightship 95.

Context-Royal Naval CollegeThe Royal Naval College is a world heritage site, the buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren built between 1696 and 1712. The building originally served for the Royal Hospital for Seamen at Greenwich and closed in 1869. It stands on the foundations o Greenwich Palace, birthplace to Mary I and Elizabeth I. Most buildings including the grand Painted Hall referred to as the Sistine Chapel of the UK (originally intended as a dining hall) are open to the public.
