NATIVITY SCENES

Nativity scenes have forever been a favourite with all Christmas pictures. In fact the first X Mas card had such a scene depicted on it. These images pictorially speak of how Jesus Christ was born. Most have a few common characters such as Joseph, Virgin Mary, farm animals, and the three wise men.

It was the great St. Francis of Assisi who created the first crib way back in the year 1223. It was a gesture to familiarize people with the lord’s birth
