General characteristics are valued in all jobs and include:

•Excellent communication

•Effective working

•Self-starter

•Flexibility

A business would value teamwork as a skill because:

•You may be required to work with colleagues in order to complete certain tasks.

•You may need to listen and contribute in group discussions to bring new ideas forward.

•It can help to get tasks done quicker and this would be more effective.

•It makes the working environment a nicer place and therefore people will be enthusiastic.

A business would value teamwork as a skill because:

•You may be needed to work with people who are involved with the business, other businesses, other colleagues and customers because the business needs to interact with a range of people.

•It helps to motivate each other because colleagues give each other ideas.

•It makes a business stronger than businesses where people work alone and therefore the business would be the strongest.

•You will need to get on with all other colleagues so that the business succeeds.•Teamwork would be valued in jobs such as a Junior IT support Technician.

A business would value organisation as a skill because:

•You may be required to organise events, meetings or interviews.

•You may be required to lead a task set and make sure that it is completed by the due date so that the business is at it’s highest standards.

•You may need to handle a lot of important information and this information should be kept secure for confidentiality.

•It may prevent stress if you know where everything is and this means if you are more relaxed, tasks will be completed to a higher standard.

A business would value organisation as a skill because:

•If your work place is more organised, then it may be a calmer environment and a business would value this because jobs/tasks will be completed more effectively.

•You will need to know where to be, what to do and at what time to do tasks/ jobs set and a business would value this because the staff in a business can often reflect and give people an impression of a business.

•If you are organised, then you will be seen as more professional and a business would value this because if they look good, then they are more likely to earn the most money.

•Organisation would be valued in jobs such as a Junior It support technician.

Specific characteristics for a graphic designer could include:

•Expert n Adobe Illustrator (Graphic Designer).•Expert in Adobe In design (Graphic Designer).•Expert in Adobe Photoshop (Graphic Designer).

The above three specific characteristics are the ones I have chosen to write about.

•You may be required to use Illustrator in order to create different products.

•You may be required to help new employees how to use Adobe Illustrator and therefore you need to fully understand it yourself ( be an expert).

•Adobe Illustrator may be a common media within the job.

Being an expert in Adobe In Design is required for extremely similar reasons to being an expert in Adobe Illustrator.

A business would require this skill because:

•You may be required to use Adobe In Design in order to create different products.

•You may be required to help new employees how to use Adobe In Design and therefore you need to fully understand it yourself ( be an expert).

•Adobe In Design may be a common media within the job.

Being an expert in Adobe Photoshop is also required for extremely similar reasons to being an expert in Adobe Illustrator.

A business would require this skill because:

•You may be required to use Adobe Photoshop in order to create different products.

•You may be required to help new employees how to use Adobe Photoshop and therefore you need to fully understand it yourself ( be an expert).

•Adobe Photoshop may be a common media within the job.

Specific skills•Expert in Adobe In Design - able to use Adobe In Design – beneficial because a graphic designer, needs to do a lot of work in Adobe In Design .

•Expert in Adobe Photoshop –able to use Adobe Photoshop - beneficial because a graphic designer needs to do a lot of work in Adobe Photo shop.

•Expert in Adobe Illustrator - able to use Adobe Illustrator - beneficial because a graphic designer needs to do a lot of work in Adobe Illustrator.

General skills•Excellent communication and listening skills - ability to discuss projects and ideas with others and be able to work maturely with everyone and to listen to other ideas and people – beneficial because in every job all ideas must be considered to get the best result.

•Self-starter – always aware of what needs doing, not waiting until asked to complete a task - beneficial because there is nearly always something to do and the quicker things get done, the more the business succeeds.

General skills•Works effectively with colleagues and integrates well into the companies culture – to ‘fit in’ and work effectively with colleagues - beneficial because if an employee works effectively, they will complete the task to the highest standard.

•Works effectively in a team – beneficial because in every job there is always some task which can not be completed alone.

•Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances –you can change routine without any drastic effects to your working standards or pace - beneficial because a business is always changing.

•Can maintain a high level of time keeping and attendance – you are organised with time limits (ect.) and are always on time – beneficial because a business needs to be on time to succeed.

•Have 5 GCSE grade C or above, Inc maths, Eng + ICT + ideally A-Level ICT (or relevant) - beneficial because if you have these skills you are more likely to be able to tackle tasks..

•Currently holding an enhanced CRB –you must have been checked by the police for any criminals records (criminal records bureau) - beneficial because if you are going to be lecturing young people, you need to be able to be trusted around them.

Specific skills•ITIL Qualification (The Information Technology Infrastructure Library) –you need a qualification for ITIL – beneficial because for this job it is required that you have an ITIL qualification.

General skills•Working with the team –you must be able to work effectively with others - beneficial because if an employee can work with the ‘team’, they will gather all ideas.

General attributes

•Able to work with people at all levels in the organisation – must be able to work effectively with anyone involved with business - beneficial because when you are working in a business, you may have to work with lower people in the business to collect ideas and then present them ideas to the top people in the business.

You need to add notes about non verbal communication methods and how you plan to use these in your presentation.
