Noah checks out the place. Yes, all’s good to go.

Page 6: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

Big strands of seaweed all over

the place. They look pretty

special.

Page 7: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

The same applies for the

driftwood.

Page 8: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

Impressive views one after another. I cannot believe the light an its changes.

Page 9: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

More seaweed.

The sun is setting and the tide is coming in rapidly: time to go home.

Rocks Sumner

The beach to ourselves but bad weather crawling over the hills in the background.

Page 18: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

Walking from the rocks over the beach, seeing some sort of structure further

down.

Page 19: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

It turned out to be an amazing pile of driftwood.

AKAROA

Page 26: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

An early French settlement, and still

breathing that French atmosphere.

Always great for a straddle along the

water, a nice lunch or diner and

Akaroa Fudge which is like nothing

you ever had before. A great place to

go for a boat trip, swim with the

dolphins, cruise around the bay or for

a fishing trip.

Page 27: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

Sitting down with some food under a

tree and just enjoy the view.

Seagulls are always around to pick up

a chip or actually to nick one if you are

not looking.

The back of the jetty where you depart for dolphin watching or a cruise through

the harbour, buy some Paua jewellery and pearls.

On the way from the car park to town and back.

Page 36: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

With the sun going down the

light and colours would

change very quickly as can

be seen on the next two

pages.

Page 37: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

Near the end of the day, the light

does amazing things, when the

sun is lowering behind the tops

of the hills.

Page 38: Akaroa And Sumner April 2009 Public

This must have been one of the most spectacular I ever had there.

The clouds and lowering sun completely changed the light.

What a fantastic view to end the day.
