7 WEDDING MAKE UP TIPS YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS

Every bride wants to look her best for her wedding, so you may be worrying about gettingyour make up just right for the big day. The good news is that with the right guidance andthe right products, it’s easier than you think. So whether you’re planning on hiring aprofessional or doing it yourself, here are the seven wedding make up tips you won’t wantto head down the aisle without knowing:

1. Start a Good Skin Routine NowEven though make up is designed to hide imperfections, you don’t want a surprisebreakout or dark circles interfering with your bridal look. Establish a routine that’sgood for your skin now — including not only normal washing and moisturizing, butalso things like eating healthily and drinking plenty of water — and try not to deviatefrom it before the wedding. Keep in mind that treatments like facials aren’t last-minute fixes, and in fact may irritate your skin atfirst. So it’s best not to schedule those for the last few days leading up to your wedding.

3. Pay Attention to Your BaseFor your wedding day, you’ll need your make up to last for hours. To protect against sweat, oiliness, and smearing, make sureyou’re starting your make up with a quality skin primer. Primers essentially provide a foundation for your foundation that keepsyou looking flawless all day long.

4. Think 20 Years Down the RoadGiven that there are around 2.5 million weddings in the U.S. each year, you’re probably hoping to make yours stand out in someway. But your make up probably isn’t the way to do that. Scrutinize today’s trends and think how they’ll look when you’re goingthrough your wedding pictures 20 years from now. Bright colors and exaggerated styles generally won’t stand the test of time.

5. Test Your Look on CameraYour wedding make up is about looking great on camera, as well as in person; today we snap as many photos every two minutesas humans did in the whole 19th century, and on your wedding day every camera in the vicinity will be pointed at you. 7. Pack an Emergency Touch-Up KitMake sure you have sample sizes of your make up products in an accessible spot (or even designate a bridesmaid or other helperto hold onto it and let you know when you need a touch-up).
