London is the biggest city in the United Kingdom, It is situated in the south-east coast of England. More than seven million people live and work there. It is the capital of England.

London is one of the most important cities in the world. It is a centre for business and for tourism.

In London you can find some of the best theatres and museums in the world. You can find old and new buildings, and many beautiful parks.

In London there is a beautiful river called RIVER THAMES. Tourists go on boat trips on the river.

London is divided into different districts: Whitehall, Westminster, The City, Bloomsbury, Soho, South Kensington, Knightsbridge, South Bank...

When you plan a trip to London, remember to change the money. England still has the pound (£) as currency (different from other countries in Europe)

London has two main airports: Heathrow and Gatwick. But it also has the Luton, Stansted and London City airports

The best means of transport to travel around the city is the Tube (London’s underground railway). A journey by tube is quick and easy. But you see much more of London from a bus. From the top of a red London Bus, you get a good view of the city. Another way of moving around London is by Taxi. London Cabs (this is the way taxis are called) are easy to distinguish, they all have the same shapes but different colours. Normally black.

In London you can visit very interesting places like churches, cathedrals, museums, markets...
