Ushuaia Jail was created in 1896 when the fist convicts (guilty of serious crimes, many for lifetime or long sentences ) were sent here, the idea was to colonize with themThe motto was Work, Silence, Order and DisciplineThe system was bassed on work for lifetime with little salaryThank to the convicts a railway was built in 1910 and became the southernmost railway in the worldThe prisom was closed in 1947

The heat was provided by stoves with wooden fire

At the National Park there are well marked paths that always lead to great views
