The Bailey House on Amelia IslandBuilt in 1895 for Effinham Bailey, steamship agent. An example of Queen-Anne style architecture, it took three years to build-1892-1895. This home is on the National Register.

Lesene HouseBuilt by Dr. John F Lesene in 1860 following the Civil War. It is built of hand-hewn timber and wooden pegs. Judge John Friend purchased the home in 1868 after the Civil War and passed it down through the family. Family descendants still occupy the home.

Nassau County Courthouse

Palace SaloonOriginally constructed as a haberdashery in 1878 by Josiah H. Prescott. In 1901 Louis G. Hirth purchased the building and in 1903, opened the doors of the Palace, an elegant gentleman’s saloon until prohibition in 1918. Transformed as an ice cream parlor from 1918-1933, The Palace is Florida’s oldest operating saloon.
