Final DPS Changes

Lauren Morgan

I carried out what my focus group told me to do and deleted a couple of the graphic features and secondary articles so it is

not too overcrowded.

I have created slugs at the bottom of my two

pages including the date and the Pop Today logo ‘PT’ alongside the page

number, creating a consistent style and

representing their brand image.

I made the font of my header the same as my masthead and title of the contents page as this carries out a consistent style throughout the

magazine, supporting the brand pop identity.

I changed the font of the article summary text to a bigger, bolder font

making it stand out more and compliments the header. It is also the same font style from my contents and front cover pages which helps link the

pages together and creates a consistent style.

I placed in my images and arranged them so that they are evenly spread around the page and that there are a variety of different colours on each page.

I changed the font text to Agency FB as it

carries on the consistent style throughout the

magazine, creating a house style.

I decided to delete the graphic feature in the top right hand corner as there isn’t enough

room for another image to fit on the

page.

I gave my DPS a pale pink background as it represents the girly pop genre and I also moved

the slugs down to the corner of the pages.

I edited my header so that the white background disappears as it makes the

text stand out on it’s own and is the first thing that catches your eye. I also

changed the colour of the word ‘hottest’ to red as it increases the impact and

makes it stand out.

I inserted my pull quotes and got rid of all the boxes around the text, making it

look more like a finished product.

I added a drop shadow behind my images as it makes them look more professional and makes them stand out.
