Schuyler St. Leger (@DocProfSky) gives an overview of three dimensional (3D) printing. He covers various forms of 3D printing and walks through an example going from creating a 3D model to converting the model file to machine code that drives the x/y/z stages of a 3D printer. His hands-on demonstration uses a MakerBot Thing-O-Matic 3D printer.
