Lake:)

Is situated in the first zone of KRNAP national park - forrested area with moss'body. The lake is out of glacier origin with leftovers of moraine, th eonly one on the Czech side of Krkonose Mountains. On the bottom of the lake and on the level is Dusen's peat moss. The lake is inaccessible to public!

cave:)

The only dolomite caves in Bohemia are in the slope of Vápenice at Bozkov near Semily. The caves comprise a labyrinth of underground corridors and cavities. Some cavities feature dripstone structures. The underground lakes with crystal-clear blue-green water are yet another tourist-attraction.

Mumlava:)

The river Mumlava has actually 2 springs - the Big and Small Mumlava. It collects its waters on the Mumlava meadow north of the Kotel. In the lower part of eroded Mumlava pit is the most visited Giant Mountain's waterfall. Under the 8 m cascade and further down the riverbed are pittoresque nature phenomenons - gigantic pots and washouts in the granite.

Upa raised moss:)

A nature reserve since 1952, the Upa raised moss is located in a shallow depression between Snezka, Hranicni hrbet and the Studnicni Mt. in 1400-1425 m. The raised moss and its surroundings are a vivid reminder of the subarctic tundra reaching this far south during the last ice-age. It is one of the most valuable natural parts of the Krkonoše Mts. with rare vegetation. The waters retaind in the raised moss caters for the Úpa and the White Elbe which spring up here.

Goaty spine:)

On this steep mountain range walking is prohibited. During the winter, the road on the hillside of Kozi hrbety is usually closed due to the risc of avalanches. In the 16th and 17th century people were mining place for arsenic, silver and copper ore

Harrach stones:)

These eye-catching blocks of granite stone are to be found on the edge of the Velka Kotelni Jama (1421 m) on the way from the Vrbatova bouda to the Kotel hill.

Girl stones:)

This rock formation on the border crest of the Krkonose Mountains was formed has by irregular weathering of the granite. Legend has it, that at this very spot, a young girl once met her death.
