Be prepared for difficult

periods

Our consciousness is sometimes

full of light

and sometimes in darkness

Sometimes brimfuland sometimes empty

For we are subject to the samefluctuations as nature

This is why it is important to know when each phenomenon is going to recur.

If you cannot see that the pendulum is about

to swing back to a difficult period,

you may commit yourself unwisely to such or such

undertaking

And then when the time comes, you find yourself in the doldrums,

without inspiration or joy

You could have avoided this if

you had realizedin advance thatthe dark days were about tobegin and thatyou would be feeling weak and dejected All our faults are

commited in darknesswhen our

consciousnessis obscured

So learn to sense the

advent of thosemoments, and

when they come do not

undertake anything important
