Introductory Thoughts

God has an amazing was of getting our attention!

This is one of the lessons taught here in the book of Jonah.

This prison wasn’t constructed of brick, mortar and metal bars.

We want to join Jonah in his prison and deal with the truths that we find there.

The Road to This Prison

It Is A Road of Disobedience – Jonah 1:1-3.

It Is A Road of Disappointments – Jonah 1:3-12.

It Is A Road of Disasters – Jonah 1:4-17.

The Rehabilitation in This Prison

Jonah’s Acknowledgement before the Lord – 2:1, 4, 7-9.

Jonah’s Agreement with the Lord – Jonah 2:9b.

Jonah’s Acceptance by the Lord – Jonah 2:2, 10; 3:1-2.

The Results of This Prison

God’s Man Is Changed – Jonah 3:3.

God’s Message Is Communicated – Jonah 3:4.

God’s Mission Is Accomplished – Jonah 3:5-10.

Concluding Thoughts

The prison of choice can be a hard place to live.

But, it can be a blessing in some ways too.

Has God been calling you to do something for His glory?
