Do you like my cookie cutters? I’m using these for scones!

1. Set your oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7

2. Grease your baking tray(s).

3. Rub 225g of flour with 55g of butter.

4. Add 25g of sugar and gently stir it in. If you want to add in dried fruit such as raisins or

spices such as cinnamon, now is the time!

4. Add in a little milk at a time whilst stirring. You will need

150ml.

5. It should look like this: (You can use your hands towards

the end.)

6. Your ball of dough shouldn’t be sticky but just in case put flour on

your surface with your dough.

7. Now you need to kneed your dough.

8. Roll out your dough until 2cm thick. If you don’t have a rolling pin, you can just use your hands to carefully flatten the dough.

9. Whoops, I forgot to add my raisins in, I’ve re rolled it after

pouring them on…

10. Grab your cookie cutter and start cutting those scones!

11. Place your scones in the greased tin(s).

12. Glaze your scones. You can either use a little milk or a beaten

egg.

13. Put your scones in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until fully risen

and golden brown.

14. Butter your scones and serve with jam and possibly

clotted cream to make a delicious English treat!
