About Pioneer Medical
Believe it or not, Pioneer started out in 1978 selling residential security and fire alarms. They have always had the mission to help save lives, no matter what that looks like. Howard Feldman, President, had a father who was a scientist and worked with Bell Laboratories so he was always around technology growing up. In 1995, his mother had to have an alert monitoring system and he has spent many years researching this technology ever since. With this kind of longevity and personal touch, Pioneer can bring you very experienced and quality service.

The Good
• They offer many different types of monitoring to ensure you are getting the best equipment for your needs.
• We really like their blog on the website since it offers frequent new posts on a wide range of related topics.
• Message from the President both to read and an audio version as well.
• They have been in business for a very long time.
• Their units are reported to be very sturdy and able to take a lot of wear and tear.
The Bad
• When you first sign up, you are locked into a three month contract, but then it goes month to month after that.
• Their pricing seems a bit higher than many other companies we have reviewed.
• There is not much that we felt was a problem with this company.
Summary
Overall, Pioneer seems to be a fairly good company to consider for your medical alert needs. We really appreciate the note from the President and his personal experience in the alerting industry since a child. They have been in the business for a long time and offer many products to fit your needs as well. We do feel that their prices are a bit higher than you can typically find, but if you like the longevity of the company and feel confident with them, we would recommend them. If you are on a tight budget, however, we suggest you look around and compare companies to see if you can save money somewhere else.
