The Goode Legacy

Generation 1, Part 4

+

You guessed it! It’s birthday time! I had Melchior throw a birthday party for the twins, but it started at just after 6 so he didn’t get Eli or Emily to their cakes. Instead, he grew Eli up at the bottom of the stairs and then Emily at the top of the stairs.

+

Here’s our little Heiress. I think Emily turned out pretty cute. I have no clue which features came from which parent, other than that her general coloring comes from Dad.

+

Eli looks different from Emily. He’s very cute too. He grew up with a lot of “learn x skill” wants, so he may eventually become a Knowledge sim. (I can’t say yet, of course.)

+

Here’s Emily’s personality. She is fairly neat and outgoing, very active, rather serious, and not all that nice. She has the same nice points as her Daddy. Melchior is a sweetheart with three nice points, so maybe Emily will be like him.

+

And here is Eli’s personality. My goodness, child! He’s going to be an autonomous cleaning, super outgoing, super active child who doesn’t like games and isn’t all that nice. Something tells me I’m going to spend a lot of time going, “Now where did Eli go?” once this kid can walk.

I figured out just before I played this that the reason Sylvia and Melchior weren’t taking care of the twins unless I made them was because I had “nobabyharassment” from MATY in my mods folder. I wanted to see how these two parented on their own, so I pulled that hack. Sylvia did this with Emily all by herself (though she won’t do much else with the twins unless I tell her).

+

Melchior on the other hand…Melchior is a good daddy! He actually did this all by himself, and what’s more, he’s not just playing with Emily. I couldn’t get a good picture, but he was watching both twins. Eli was on the bunny head, which seems to be his favorite toy. Melchior’s action in the queue was actually “Play with” with a picture of the bunny head. I like to think he was playing with both his kiddos.

+

And then—still autonomously—Melchior put the kids to bed. He is a good daddy!

+

All too soon it was the twins’ birthday again. I decided against having a birthday party this time. Neither Sylvia nor Melchior rolled a want for one and it was getting kind of late, so this was a quiet family affair.

+

Here’s our Emily! I think her face is going to end up rather thin, but she’s absolutely adorable. I’m going to let her keep the pigtails and the pjs for now.

+

And here’s Eli with his happy “I’m a big kid!” face. Isn’t he cute? I like Eli a lot.

+

I said last time that I wasn’t sure what to do about the nursery when the kids grew up. What I ended up doing was splitting the room again and making half of it into Eli’s room and the other half into a playroom. I added the little bear chairs and let the kids keep their toy box and dollhouse. The toddler toys, cribs, potties, and changing table were sold. I don’t think Sylvia and Melchior are going to have any other kids. The twins are enough.
