Self Watering Growing Containers
How build portable containers to grow everything you need to eat with 75% less water and no soil.

Components1. 18 gal container2. One inch thick
eps insulation (home depot)
3. 18” section of 1.5” Tubing
4. Wick - Polyester
Base InstallationFit bottom pieces into grid pattern. Note: the height of the bottom support is the depth of the reservoir.
OverflowDrill hole for overflow at top of base support
Reservoir SeparatorInstall separator on top of base, should fit snug.
Holes for wick and filler should also be snug
Install Wick and FillerInstall filler on same side as overflow
Fill with a peat based mix
Growing Center 18 gallon container complete in 30 minutes
4 -30 gallon containers complete in 3 hours
