The greatest gift I ever had

Came from God; I call him Dad!

HE PASSED AFTER YEARS OF KIDNEY FAILURE AND DYALISIS

HE QUIETLY CLOSED HIS EYES AND WENT TO SLEEP WITH THE ANGELS

THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY CALLED BUT I

DIDN’T ANSWER BECAUSE I

THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT HIS BED

AND I WAS GOING TO BE THERE IN THE MORNING..

I WASN’T FEELING WELL BUT I WISH I HAD ANSWERED

A father carries pictures where his money used to be

I WAS ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATE UPON FINDING HIM WITH THE PARAMEDICS STANDING AROUND HIM…

HE HAD SUCH A PEACEFUL LOOKING

FACE…

AS I FELL TO MY KNEES …..I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO TELL HIM I WAS SORRY FOR ALL THE DUMB THINGS I DID AS A CHILD

(OTHERS SAID HE KNEW)

I NEVER KNEW HOW TO FULLY HELP HIM WHEN HE WAS IN PAIN AND SUFFERING OR JUST HAVING A BAD DAY

BUT HE ALWAYS SAID I DID GREAT

He sat and watched the cars pass under the big oak tree by his apts. He always said “im going to work” and he would sit there for hours!

NO ONE UNDERSTOOD THE BOND THAT ME AND MY DADDY HAD! IT

WAS LIKE NO OTHER..

EVERYTIME I WISH…I WISH THAT YOU

WERE HERE..

To be here with me and to meet these lil booger that remind me of you with all their silly antics! You would have loved your grandbabies.

We had good times we had bad but we always knew how much love we had for one another
