SUMMARY

Gathering Blue, by Lois Lowry , teaches to never underestimate yourself . In the beginning, Kira’s mom tells her that her dad died because he was sent out to the woods for the beast . After working hard not to let her mom die ,but Kira’s mom dies anyways . Then she has to the Council of Guardians and they tell her that she must die because they think that she killed her mother . Then Kira gets lucky, and they decide that she doesn’t have to die. They try and find her a cot for her to live in . After the meeting

,Kira lives in her cot until the Council of Guardians find the cot they want her to live in . Then, while she is living in her cot , Vandara and the other moms want to take over her land to build the tykes to stay in. In the end, her father comes back and they try and find a house in the city to live in.
