First meeting: stage setting

• We will discuss the future of Uptown, with a

specific focus on two adjacent areas:

1. The former Stewart School and parking lot.

2. The land paralleling the Wilson Station.

Stewart School

• 107-year-old Stewart School closed in 2013.

• CPS will be seeking development proposals for

the building and adjacent parking lot.

• A range of uses

is possible.

Wilson Station Sites

• CTA plans to invest $200 million in the renovation of the Wilson Station, and will add a Purple Line stop there.

• As part of the renovations, land will be freed up east and west of the

tracks.

• This space could be
