We would like to invite you to the international conference which is thematically focused on the eco-efficiency in the Czech Republic. The term "eco-efficiency" is used as an umbrella concept for activities in the field of industrial management for sustainable development of systematic approaches to the more efficient use of resources. These activities have begun already in 1992 under different names like cleaner production, pollution prevention, cleaner technologies, waste minimization or later also sustainable consumption and production. Today these preventive and proactive approaches receive new impulses not only in the form of rising material and energy prices and changing markets, but also in the form of increasing opportunities for innovation at all levels of a business. In September 2011 the European Commission adopted the "Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe”, which can be a starting point for discussion on further steps for the effective and sustainable business.
Main topics of the conference: Opening of the Czech Presidency of PREPARE 2012 – 2014 Eco efficiency in the Czech Republic – experience of managers of enterprises, support at
the political level and practical benefits for industry and businesses, municipalies and regions
