Magazine cover evaluation

• I used a brick wall as the background of my magazine cover at it was a beige neutral colour that would work well with other colours that I chose to put on it.

• Emboldening the text with colour helps catch the readers eye and draws them in so that they will consider buying my magazine.

• I made sure to keep all text telling people about the contents of a magazine on the left because a lot of stores arrange there magazines in a way so only the left third is visible.

• I made sure to place a quote from the model on the cover to help tie in to the main article cover lines from other articles in the magazine. I used an image of a cassette tape to illustrate my “retro or no article”

Magazine contents evaluation

• For the background of my contents page I used a picture of a piece of paper I weathered with coffee to make it look old. I wanted to make it look ancient and mysterious.

• I included a letter from the editor to add a professional touch and a small piece of an interview to get readers into the magazine.

• I wanted readers to be drawn in by the interview so I made the text a bright colour
