DESCRIPTION
To sustain democracy, citizen participation is a must. Like voting, activisim is an participation activity. Can we see hacktivism as an activism branch? It is obviously open to debate but In information age, every governments should take hacktivism serious. This presentation is prepared for our ICHSS 2013's article "Hacktivism in Turkey: The RedHack Case". We discussed fundamental concepts on activism and defined hacktivism. To understand the perception of RedHack in Turkey, we conducted a survey, and details of the survey are shared in this presentation in depth.
