The Rosenwald Building at Prentiss Normal and Industrial Institute was once identified by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as one of 11

most endangered historic places. After an extensive restoration that

culminated in a dedication event on February 24, 2013, the Rosenwald was reopened

and is now recognized as a historic

landmark by the Mississippi Department of Archives

and History and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
