A behind the scenes look at the Student Lifestyle

• An expository documentary which would provide the greater UK population with an insight of the whole university experience; from being up all night partying on freshers week to up all night finishing final projects and dissertations. • This would be interesting, especially to the audience preparing for

their uni experience as it would show them how their life could be like for the next three or more years. Additionally parents would find this show both shocking in parts however engaging and interesting to see how hard young people in higher education do work at university.

Main Idea

• The target audience would be specifically two demographics, one would be the younger audience in college or sixth form education who are interested/excited for their future lifestyle at uni, and the second would be parents, who would definitely be keen to have a sneak look at what their children could possibly get up to after moving out. • Also this documentary would strive to highlight how hard students

work for their achievements, attracting parents.

Target Audience

• The channel we believe would be most suitable for this documentary would be BBC Three, this is because it attracts a largely young adult audience, but is also part of the BBC meaning adults may tune in quite a bit too. • This channel has run many documentary series following young

people in their lives, be that whilst being a young driver borrowing a parents car or going on your first holiday with your friends. • Examples: Barely Legal Drivers; Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents;

Young, Dumb and Living off Mum.

Channel most suitable

• This documentary would be most suitable in the form of an expository project, as it is a through the keyhole look into student lifestyle and university living. • The documentarian would be behind the camera, more like a voice

over or narrator, and the subjects of the film would be able to address the camera, much like they are the documentarians also.
