My Dog Lexi

A Common Question:

“What kind of dog is that?”

My Answer:

“She’s My Bearded Collie”

Our friendship began…

when… my empty nest needed some JOY. I drove 3 hours to adopt a timid, tan “Beardie” who had been surrendered.

It was Labor Day Weekend

2005

I wanted a shaggy dog…

She was shaven!

I wanted a guard dog…

She was afraid of everything!

We both needed a forever friend…

…It was luv at first sight!!!

Until a few weeks ago ,Lexi and I walked everyday

We Walked on hot days; from sprinkler to sprinkler !

On rainy days; despite the fact she was afraid of the umbrella!

On cold and snowy days; wearing our boots!

She had style, she had grace…

OK, maybe not so

much grace…Lexi

regularly walked

into objects, tripped

herself and she

didn’t do backup

moves well;

But she looked good

We walked through some good, and some really tough days… together!

We had each other, and that always made it a little better.

Making friends along the way

We always had fun together

Car Rides

Hanging out together

Best Friend Forever

day)
