AFGHAN WIRELESS SUPPORTS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

BY AFGHAN WIRELESS

While working to provide the latest innovations in mobile communications technology to its network of more than 4 million subscribers, Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) places a strong focus on professional development.

Afghan Wireless recognizes the importance of education in the success of not only the company, but the Afghan economy as a whole.

For this reason, the company actively encourages its employees to seek ongoing career education and allocates a great deal of resources to provide professional development opportunities.

In 2013, Afghan Wireless partnered with Kardan University in Kabul to offer discounted tuition to a number of AWCC employees.

The firm also offers more than 50 professional development courses for its staff, covering subjects such as English, information technology, competition strategy, and management.

Furthermore, a group of AWCC associates recently took part in a 39-hour course on organizational management and communications, aimed at refining skills in key areas such as public relations, project development, business communications, and risk management.

By providing these opportunities, AWCC continues to pursue its goal of empowering the Afghan workforce to develop a vibrant, modern national economy.
