Preserving Your License After A DWI

Losing your license after a DWI can seriously complicate your life.

You may be unable to get to work, make doctors’ appointments or even get to the store.

If you refuse or fail a blood or breath test after being arrested for DWI, you could lose your license for

between three months and two years.

There are two ways you may be able to keep your license:

Request an administrative license revocation (ALR) hearing within 15 days of your arrest.

Apply for an occupational license.
