WHAT is the focus of our activities…

We believe that every child needs a loving home to flourish in and we help families in Finland and around the world to make it happen.

VISION: Every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security.

MISSION: SOS Children’s Villages Finland helps children and adolescents to grow up in a family both in Finland and around the world.

Every child is unique,

and so is the way we work...

Whatever we do, the well-being of children and families is at the

centre.

We support families at early stage before problems are too severe.

We provide individualized and tailored support for children and families.

Siblings can stay together.

We provide strong support for youth in the transition from care to independent living.

We work in close cooperation with communities and partners.

We work with different types of families:

HOW do we advocate in the society…

We promote and advocate for children‘s rights.

Advocacy

• We encourage decision-makers to bear responsibility for children and families in vulnerable situations.

• We create partnerships with municipalities, organizations and other actors.

• We support participation of children and adolescents.

Family and it‘s needs have to be put at the centre. We search for solutions together with municipalities.

New model to support families

Provide support based on needs of the family - not the system.

From shattered services into solutions that take into account individialized needs of the family.

We develop SOS Finland’s acitivities and know-how as a provider of preventative measures and as a contributor for well-being.

SOS Finland will be an important partner for municipalities.
