What is being done in our school and area

• Planting trees• Cleaning school garden with students• Collecting batteries• Recycling in our area• Crafts from recycling materials• Saving Energy and water• Solution

Our students collected batteries and gave them to Yozgat Youth Center to recycle

The students cleaned the environment to save nature

The kids are happy to be part of this project.

The students also cleaned our school’s yard.

Recycling

• Unfortunately,we don’t give any importance to recycling.

• We couldn’t find any recycling bins around. • We tried to make recycling bins for every

class.• Announcement and signs remind to recycle

Saving energy and water

• We tried to draw people’s attention to this matter.

• We made pictures about water and light pollution.

At school

• School documents,notes are most often two sides,not to lead to increased waste.

• Most often staff don’t make attempts to buy environmentally friendly materials unless it is their priority to do so.

• As teachers we tried to find environmental friendly activities and behaviours in our lessons.

SOLUTIONS

• Shutting down computer and turning off lights when not in use.It would save not only money but would reduce overall energy use of our school.

• Increasing awareness would help the school be cleaner.

• We should turn off the tap when not in use if we want a better world.
