InvitationtoparticipateIfyouareconcernedabouttheexistenceofthewondersofthenaturalworld, defaultoutcomeofourclimate,habitabilityforhumans, thesurvival ofspecies, thelivesyourchildrenwillhaveandwhatwewillleavetofuturegenerations,DreamFoundation invitesyoutojoinChris increatingmovementforlikeminded soulswiththehearttoalterdestiny.
DesignIntentionThisisanintergenerationalprojectdesignedtolastaslongashumanbeingsinhabit thisworld.
Theprojectisdesignedtobecomepartofthefabricofsociety.Itisbothalearningstructureandself sustainingovertimeaschildrenpassontheirlearning,development andtrainingtotheirchildren.
Throughtheadvocacyofchildren, embedding ourloveforthenaturalworldasaguide,wedesign, createvalueandimpactsystemssuchasenergysupply, transport,housing, technology,watersupply andsoonwillproduceprofound alterationtothefuture.

Weareselfabsorbed andnumb.Thereispriceless beautyandwonder,that,nichebyniche, speciesbyspecies isbeingforeverlost.Forthoseofusewhocare,wemustconfrontthatourconversations aboutconservation, energyuse,environment,climatechangeareineffective, andnotmakingarealdifferencetofutureoutcomes.
Thetragedyofbeingasleep“Weplug[ourmobilephone]intoawall.Veryfewofusthinkofthisasanunethicalaction,chargingourdevice.Butofcoursethatdeviceusestheelectricity.Thatelectricityhastocomefromsomeplace.Itdoesnotactuallycomefromthesocketinthewall.Itcomesfromaelectronicgrid, agridthatmoveselectricityalloverthispartoftheworld.Inmycountryaboutseventypercentofelectricitycomesfromburningcoal.…Noneofthisworksifwedon’tburnformerliving things.”

Therearemanyinitiatives intheworldthatarewholeheartedlydoing good.Everybitmatters,people needencouragementandsupport tocontinue theirefforts.
Howeverwhenlookedatinthetotally,comparedtothestateoftheworld,thevastmajorityoftheseinitiativesarenoteffectiveataplanetarylevelandwespiraloutofcontroltowardsdystopian futuresthatnobody wants.

Wetlandsaretheworld’swaterfilters.Theytrappollutantssuchasphosphorus andheavymetalsintheirsoils,transformdissolvednitrogenintonitrogengas,andbreakdownsuspendedsolidstoneutralizeharmfulbacteria.NewYorkCityfoundthatitcouldsave$3-8billioninnewwastewatertreatmentplantsbypurchasingandpreserving$1.5billioninlandaround itsupstatereservoirs.

ThroughhiscaringforDavid,Chrissawopportunity tomakeadifferencetopeopleofdisabilityandbecameaninventor.HeinventedtheEzylinepeg-lessclothsline.Thisdevicebringsalevelofselfsufficiency,dignityandeasetoaneverydaypart oflifethatisimportanttohiscustomers.ThedeviceisbeingshowcasedintheUSRecreationalVehicleshowandDreamFoundationwishesChriseverysuccess.
Chrisisdevisingthenextiterationofhisideawhichistoturnthelineintoanarchtosupportdifferent,mobileinexpensivestructures.Ideasincludegreenhouseconstruction,mosquitonetting,emergencyshelter,andamobiletransportsystem.

Chrissaid“Havingchildrenmakethedifferencetothefutureofourclimate.”
Thatis,asthegenerationmostimpacted,childrengainingthegreatestsayinthematteroftheclimate,inwhichtheywillspendthevastmajorityoftheirlives.
Chrispointedtotheideathatourroleastheintelligentspeciesisoneofguardiansoflifeandthenaturalworldratherthanexploiters.Theextinctionofspeciesdoesnotleaveaworthwhilelegacytofuturegenerations.
