As our fundraising drive deadline approaches, and we’re still far short of what

we need for next year, it’s important to remember how well we’ve managed so far.

So this slideshow is for the Prajnya community,

to say that we’ll make it …somehow.

2006-07

• We received no donations. Had no money.• We got Prajnya stationery printed.• And yes, we filed our first tax return that

year.

2007-08

• We received ` 59101.00 in donations.

• We had a little launch meeting on September 9, 2007.

• Our first volunteers started small research projects.

• We held our first inter-collegiate quiz in borrowed space.

2008-09• We received ` 457224.00, in

donations and through a small grant from the Sir Ratan TataTrust.

• The grant paid for three small research studies on peace education.

• We also published our first study, hosted one batch of interns, held our first Prajnya 16 Days Campaign against Gender Violence and held the second Intercollegiate Quiz on Women in South Asia!

2009-2010• We received ` 423375.00, in

donations and the last part of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust grant.

• We held a small seminar to present the peace education research studies.

• The 16 Days Campaign and the Intercollegiate Quiz happened.

• We started a Women’s History Roundtable Series.

2010-11• We raised ` 241540.01 in

donations. • With this money, we ran

the 2010 16 Days Campaign and the 2011 Quiz.

• We launched the call for ‘Rainmakers.’

• We continued to share our research at other venues.

2011-12• We’ve raised ` 133500.00 this

year.• With the campaign on sabbatical and

the Quiz abandoned, this was money raised for: – EPI Research– A seminar on gender violence data– The Rainmakers exhibition– A scriptwriting course in conjunction with

the Samsung Women’s International Film Festival.

• The Women’s History Roundtables became a regular feature.

2012-13

• We need ` 800,000.• It’s going to be an expensive year, with a

return to our annual 16 Days Campaign against Gender Violence.

• As things stand, we will have to continue our fundraising efforts even after the drive ends.
