•In the 1700’s Bach went to Lyceum where he received his education.• After he received his education, he move to Lüneburg to live with his brother Ohrdruf.•While living with his brother he learned the skill of repairing church organs.

“Memorial stone of Maria Barbara Bach. The Old Cemetery at Köthen, where she was buried, was abandoned in the late 1800's, but her gravesite was marked and remembered. The grounds are now a public park and Maria's resting place stands alone in a secluded wooded area.” (Edwards)

Bach took a job and played in the court for Duke Wilhelm Ernst

•“While in Weimar, Bach was appointed court organist• and it is supposed that he wrote much of his organ music there. •Much to the Dukes liking, along with Bach's salary increases, he earned the title of Konzertmeister (concert master).• Six of Bach's children were born in Weimar. After seeking the more prestigious title of Kappelmeister (chapel master). he accepted an offer from Prince Leopold of Cöthen in 1717.”

The Prince of the House of Ascania offered Bach a job making more wages.Bach signed a contract on 7 August 1717.But the Duke became angry and put Bach in prison for many months.In 1718 Bach finally able to start playing music for Prince Leopold at Kothen.

While working in Kothen, Bach developed many of his pieces of music

•Bach accepted the job as Kantor at the Thomasschule.•There he was in charge for the music at for churches.•Bach spent the rest of his days 1750, he died of a stroke.
