For the costume of Lana as the popular girl I havebeen researching typical costumes of the beautiful girls.

For example:

- Danielle in The Girl Next Door- Nicole Maris in Drive Me Crazy- Danielle in The New Guy- Jules in Superbad- Amanda Beckett in Can’t Hardly Wait

From my research I have found that manyof the Popular Girl costumes from films are similar.

The stereotypical costume includes:

• Shorts skirts• Revealing tops• Skinny jeans• Tight clothing

I will incorporate this in the costume of Lana.

For the costume of Lana in the dream world I wantto portray a different type of beauty; natural beauty.

Her costume will be a formal dress which links to the theme of the dream world being prince and princess as the location is a castle ruin.

- A colorful checkered shirt- A colored t-shirt- Jeans- Old pair of Trainers

I will incorporate this in the costume of Albert.

Costume 2: Jester

Albert McDonald:

As spoken about in the Preproduction Lyrics blog post. The character Albert will be wearing a jester costume for parts of the dance routine to symbolize the lyric ‘fool’.

I have decided to stick to a typical medieval jester costume for my character.

Costume 3: Geek (Dream world)

For the costume of Albert in the dream worldI wanted a costume which portrayed him as less of a geek, for example the typicallook that most teenage boys dream to be like.

This is because of the concept that in your dreams you can be anything you want.

For the research of this costume I looked at how male celebrities are dressed in magazines and in the media as many teenage boys look up to them as idols.

Examples of Idols include:

- Zac Efron- Logan Lerman- Josh Hutcherson- Taylor Lautner

The reason teenage boys aspire to look like thesecelebrities is because this is the ‘type’ of boy thatthe media tell them is what the ‘perfect girl’ wants fora boyfriend.

There will be only two props within my music video:

1) Glasses

The glasses will by the Geek in reality part to portray a stereotypical geek.

2) Red Rose

The red rose symbolizes love and will bepresent introduced in the dream worldin in Albert’s suit jacket. After the dreamhas collapsed the rose will be found with Lana Jones when she wakes up in reality
